Well we've already got Radio Rovers, Rovervision, Darwen End, Blackburn End Upper, town centre shop, ladies team, matchday programme, non matchday Blues Bar, reduced opening for the club shop, not to mention other things such as routine maintenance, cleanliness, staffing all falling victim to the insatiable appetite for cuts.

So only to be expected that once the 'big' ones were dealt with that attention would turn to smaller things such as Sky Sports subscriptions.

This is the problem when you have owners and stooges only interested in cutting costs - it becomes an addiction and no stone is left unturned. Everything can be justified under the banner of 'it saves money'.

Technically they are right it does. 

I've asked a few times where does that quest end? Close the whole club down - that will save money as well? Demolish Ewood and move to Darwen? Knock down Brockhall (oh yeah, already tried that one).

The legions of fans who continue to line up to defend and support these decisions seem to think there is a red line somewhere that this regime will never cross and their routine of trotting down to Ewood and sitting in their seat every fortnight is sacred and will never be infringed on by regime.

Newsflash - they don't care and nothing is safe.

i remember when they were all lapping up the women’s team getting relegated to division four. we’re sleepwalking into league two.

Already had that from someone who joined in Aug 25 and had about 8 followers.

'Not enough people go in there so they can't justify it it's only Skysports what's the big deal'

It'll just be followed eventually by oh well league 1 mid table is about our level anyway, look at Barnsley and Doncaster.  If the owners didn't fund us we'll be Bury or Morcambe.

Lets be grateful we have a team and we still play at Ewood and now we have a Tesco on the car park for cheap pre match snacks !

I mean. a football club bar for its own season ticket holders and people charged to go then not being about to watch Skysports is probably par for the course with the stupidity we've seen here down the years.

Expecting people turning up to work a few hours to then have to pay to park is pushing it even for these pathetic clowns.

I hope the concourse franchise dump the club, leave them high and dry i doubt they make much for the Ewood gig anyway.

The Club said existing staff (by dint a diminishing number) were exempt but new staff would pay.

I take my own food and drink in with me as do most around me.  The guys close by have coffee in a flask and top it up with whiskey.  More fans will be doing the same.

If I am not mistaken, a couple of the players were kicking off, about having to pay for the WAGS to attend a club event that had always been free of charge previously.

For the sake of a few quid, they are pissing the players off, so no wonders a few are not signing new contracts.

£4.50 for a Cruzcampo if you get to the ground early ... Not sure what difference it makes going earlier or ordering 30 mins before kick off or at half time other than to extort the already beer thirsty fans from the few pints they've had prior to the match ... Madness

On what grounds is it acceptable that a member of staff who joins, say, a month later than somebody else has to pay to park on their work car park?

Can't even imagine what the morale must be like at all levels of the club.

I used to do the same, but this season have decided to completely drop the coffee. By 60 minutes or so we look like a decent side.

As the season progresses I anticipate the whiskey to coffee ratio being adjusted.
