I have just been chatting to an old friend Chris who lives down the lane from me.  He and his adult son had ST’s for years.  
 

I asked if he would get another to be told “why, Rovers get £8m+ on the new TV deal that they did not oppose as the income was easy money and they don’t need to work to get the fans in anymore. I may go a couple of times per season for a big game at best, it is cheaper to use a fire stick and I can sit at home in the warmth and have a beer.  They don’t care about me attending and they have done nothing to try and get me back.”.

There is meant to be a substantial clamp down on firesticks in the offing but yeah, his point still stands.

Basic problem is the product is shite and we're losing at home every game. If we were doing well and in the play off places or maybe even if we had some players who got you on the edge of your seat there might be some incentive to go down.

I have a season ticket and this will only be my, I think, third trip to Ewood this season and we are in late October, and to think we’ve had a friendly and cup tie at home too.

It’s a real bloody effort to motivate yourself to go when the regime has no particular interest in even staying in the division never mind actually achieving anything. So if I’m thinking like that as an already paid up ST holder how on earth can you expect floating fans to give a flying fuck (shelling out 30 quid a time to boot)? As the club certainly doesn’t.

Managed to walk around the CBS on Saturday there's so much going on loads of new additions to bring the fans in, yes they are doing well on the pitch but looks like they have a superb home there. The club shop is a decent size with some smart gear on offer, the prematch build up is brilliant, they've found their calling with their new pregame song, and a flag that dwarfs ours, their screen/scoreboard is massive and plays previous games and player intros, really builds the hype and gets everyone going. I love wild Rover and have enjoyed our jumobtron but I think its all getting dated.

The reality for many thousand's now especially when the current product is so damn poor.Add to that midweek games in Winter and Im sure the downward spiral in attendance will continue.

I know that's how I felt. I know football peak and troughs but ours has trenched. 

Strange being on the other side of the fun. Not pleasant at all.

I don’t bother with midweek matches because I start work early.

In the past, I’d have arranged a later start, at weekends, I’d move my life around to suit Rovers.

Now? It’s very much the other way around.

Aye I know bout 3 times. Not enough people to pass it about just looks stupid passing a postage stamp about the empty seats that says PrIdE oF LaNcAsHiRe on it... no pride left.
