Plastics Posted February 18 Posted February 18 I hope he fulfills the early promise. Always a chance he plays in bursts and gets a bit lost as a game goes on with players like this but everything I've seen looks good so far. Confidence, pace and a bit of fire 1 Quote
philipl Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Those pumping arms are going to be adding awkwardness to the pace defenders have to face. His set-up for Dolan's goal also showed signs of great spacial awareness and quick eye to boot execution. Let's hope it wasn't a fluke. 3 Quote

We know Dembele was one, but of the players mentioned above, the ones that have signed all seem to be turning out ok as it stands. Obviously very early days on Kargbo and Ribeiro...but Ohashi has been a good signing, Gueye has turned a corner and is now looking like he has the makings of a proper centre forward, Danny Batth is probably in the top 3 for players of the season. I've no doubt Mostafa would've been good, while Germain would've been a bit like Gueye and Ohashi as a complete unknown. We rightly give the club stick about how things are done and the way the club is being run, but recruitment this season at least appears to have been ok in terms of the quality of players. The obvious criticism is that the club seem to take an age to do anything and there are too many players brought in on short term deals. Anyway, back to Kargbo...love the look of this guy already. The more I watch Dolan's goal, the better Kargbo looks. Direct and quick, just what we need. 3 Quote

rog of the rovers Posted Wednesday at 11:01 Posted Wednesday at 11:01 (edited) We don't talk about Kargbo, no, no, no, We don't talk about Kargbo! Tough start to his Rovers career for the Sierra Leonean. 6 starts, 10 substitute appearances. zero goals, two assists. Confidence in the gutter, another costly mistake last night. Is he Semir Telalovic 2.0? Edited Wednesday at 11:13 by rog of the rovers Quote
MarkBRFC Posted Wednesday at 11:11 Posted Wednesday at 11:11 (edited) Doesn't make much difference, but he has two assists rather than one. One against Plymouth at Ewood for Dolan last season, and one against Hull for Hedges this season. A rubbish footballer who's main asset is meant to be his pace. He has looked slower than me this season. Edited Wednesday at 11:23 by MarkBRFC 1 Quote
Staffordshire Rover Posted Wednesday at 11:37 Posted Wednesday at 11:37 If you are not going chase the ball down when you lose it then you shouldn’t wear the shirt. Thats the basics we expect from our players, don't get me started on his ability because he is way off a Championship footballer Quote
Trinidad Rover Posted Wednesday at 12:07 Posted Wednesday at 12:07 Completely out of his depth. End of. Quote
davulsukur Posted Wednesday at 12:21 Posted Wednesday at 12:21 He was a 1 trick pony that was quickly found out in a game, he'd then fade out of the game completely. Now he doesn't even attempt to use his pace and has become incredibly lazy. Quote

BankEnd Rover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Looks like he's had that much abuse he's deactivated his instagram account - If that's the reason, it's totally unacceptable! I hope Kargbo can find his feet, certainly doesn't have much a football brain but has shown glimpses. Quote
Torgeir Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Is he really that quick? I suspect he was quicker before his muscle strains last season. Quote
roversfan99 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Obviously idiots shouldnt be abusing him online. But his effort levels in the lead up to the winner midweek were totally unacceptable. Play crap and people can let you off. Dont try, its hard to. 1 Quote

Something off with him definitely...cameo against Plymouth last season he was unplayable...He looked good in our final pre-season as well (against a good side) - Writings on the wall for him now I feel.
