I don’t think the owners worry at all, they simply don’t appear to give a fuck.

perhaps we should adopt their attitude ?

We have virtually no prize assets that can bring in significant cash, we very likely are living hand to mouth and we have a manager that stated he wanted most of the transfer business done by the first day of preseason.

Maybe we have done?

I've no doubt Derby will be pushing for top six whilst we struggle to keep out of the bottom three.

Derby probably need 10 new signings to make top 6 especially next season, not aware of them looking to invest to that extent. Eustace did a good job here but there's no question he had better tools at his disposal than the current Derby squad.

Tyjon off to Arsenal according to Nixon.

He also previously said he was off to Utd and Higgins to Arsenal.

Both wrong. He says Arsenal are interested in Tyjon.

He never said he was off to United or Higgins to Arsenal but both clubs were interested in those players.

Key word is interested in those players. People problem is they see a link to a player and misread the story whether its an incoming or outgoing

The Alan Nixon propaganda machine gets started up for the summer.

No thought as to perhaps that sometimes Nixon may well get things totally wrong. For what its worth, sky sports think that Plymouth CEO is staying.

I hope those clubs are as interested in Tijon as we are in various players we are linked with.

His choice of wording is the entire reason puppets like you hang on his every word like he has a clue what he's on about. The old fud.

Just what the feck is the point of our academy if all we are going to do is sell any gems we unearth before the fans have even had opportunity to see them grace the blue and white shirt?!

Not interested in, IMO, shite like Buckley and JRC but I do want to see the likes of Dunn, Jones, Wharton etc

Sounds like a Rovers' appointment!  Just why the feck do we want a CEO who thought Rooney was a good appointment just months after his Brum disaster.  I think we really are owned and run by muppets.

For a little balance, he also was CEO when they went from league 1 to championship. Decent CV, Director of Operations at Liverpool. From my recollection it was the owner who wanted Rooney.

Talking of the academy, we also poach from other ‘smaller’ clubs and it’s the way of the world. Very disappointing but it’s how the football food chain works 😞

It was Former Plymouth director of Football Neil Dewship who was behind the Rooney appointment given Dewship was his youth coach at Everton when Rooney was coming through the ranks at Everton.

None of us complained when we take Stanley or Rochdale brighter young players for our academy.

yet again, never comment on Nicko's record have I or have I said he gets things wrong but people don't read the story properly.

Just to be clear, Nicko's story hasn't said he is coming here but he is early front runner.

Clearly other clubs will be clearly interest in our best young players just we were when Eze and Tyjon were at Stanley and Rochdale. Did anyone moan or complain when we took their best young players

This Plymouth link smacks of another Silvester type appointment. He was also previously involved at Liverpool.

If I was to have a guess, I'd say the same people who 'found' Silvester back in 2011, are the ones trying to link this Plymouth fella to the CEO vacancy here.

No thanks.

They were at Liverpool FC at different times

Can understand the Plymouth - Rooney thing as he was a big name and that brought a bit of profile to a small club from a rarely mentioned non footballing area.

He worked for the wage they offered and walked without a pay off so in terms of a gamble it was probably worth it for them it just didn't pay off.

Bit different to bringing him in here.
