Welcome to the Rovers, Dion 🔵

Judge on what I see in Rovers and not before. Not going judge on a journalist report.

Good to get early signing done, hopefully a couple more signings done yet. We will see.

Very strange signing indeed

I watch the odd bits of Belgian football purely for betting purposes and the standard even in the top flight is dreadful it really is, most teams way below championship standard - Kortrijk included. Hence the vast majority of the national team play abroad apart from the odd player from the bigger clubs like Brugges.

I can only assume our scouting network (I use the term loosely) were tasked with finding someone with a bit of pace, with a valuation of < 1M. Basically like when you set the filters on champ manager as such. I find it hard to believe we've been tracking him for a while or even seen him play much.

Despite the above I will give the guy a chance like with any new signing, we may be pleasantly surprised.

Understand part of our recruitment team includes 2 analysts we got from Southampton  whose working day includes watching 6 matches a day (videos). Opening  for Chaddy!?!?

I think you'd be pretty De Neve to assume that this is a shrewd signing considering it seems he is in the most part a pretty unknown player...

They will be.

I like Beck but hes missed a lot through injury and once a layoff like that happens its at least a 50% chance the same happens next season. Pickering already is injury prone in that role so id be hesitant to go back for him.

Dutch journalists were saying Trondstadt was a strange signing when he was brought over.

Ultimately stats aren’t great if he is a winger but give the lad chance and don’t write him off.

We seem to do that with everyone the club brings in recently. Regardless of the penny pinching owners we are still supporters and should wish him the best.

The Dutch journalists said he was one of the better players in the league who had been phased out during the second half of the season because he'd made it clear he was leaving.

I wouldn't say he is pretty.

Unless it's silly money, purely out of spite, I could see us just flat out rejecting any bids made by Derby whilst JE is there.

At one stage, when we were a club with pride and self-respect, I would tend to agree.

I think we are way past that stage here. Pride and self-respect went a long time ago. We'd sell the trophies in the cabinet if the offer was tempting.

I've no doubt Eustace will be after linking up again with Travis but would be surprised if Derby were able to come up with the cash needed, then again if they are backing their manager they might well find it, unlike here.

Why don't Rovers just stick Alan Nixon in that office he knows everything and is very good at recruiting and selling Rovers players.

A strike rate of 1 in 100 surely qualifies him.

Might as well stick him up top with those numbers. Would fit in well.

They've probably already had the Premier League replica trophy sized up for melting down. Could probably keep the electricity on for another week.

Rovers Xtra, whoever it is, on the scoreboard in the race for the ITK of the summer award. (I know they didn’t break it but they broke it in English!)

Just some sad lad who sits at home searching “Blackburn Rovers” on twitter all day so he can gain a few pennies from impressions.
