Point being, we havent find it easy to recruit in that position and it wont be so easy as he suggests to sign a winger at Dolan's level. Not impossible either This list is a bit wild Khadra was better than Dolan but unfortunately he’s gone the Dack route. Two ACLs Kargbo we have barely seen. Giles is a full back and Denis is a centre forward You did well to try and pad it out but the only person who belongs on the list is Sigurdson. For all intents and purposes he looked better than Dolan - could certainly finish better - but for whatever reason didn’t cut the mustard in other ways. Maybe fitness. But what a low bar set. It will be interesting to see how Dolan does. I am in the camp of this will be his peak. If he moves above us and sustains it I would be surprised. He may get a decent move here on a free but his overall game is too poor for the top leagues, and he isn’t good enough for a top table championship club either. Derby seems the obvious choice. 3 Quote

However Dolan is a decent championship player and to compare him to hedges is laughable really I’m fine with people having their own opinions but when debating or making comparisons at least do it with something tangible to back it up We had 200 games to judge him. I’m completely fine with mine. Respect you may not agree. That’s ok. Quote

Please. Mate, I saw your assertion about Dolan’s “output” and tried not to emphasise it because quite frankly, it’s embarrassing for you and TD. Dolan is quite simply an Instagam’able Ryan Hedges. A mid championship, average player, and at least Hedges knows it. I’ve seen very little of Kargbo but I’d bet everything I have that if he was gifted 200+ games in the championship, playing for Rovers his “output” would be considerably higher than Dolan’s. He’s obviously a great lad and I’ve never wanted to be proven wrong more. But my bet is that he’ll eventually sign for Bristol City (yawn) or the like, job about for a year or two and then disappear into League 1. The end. Its 6 goals and 4 assists more than Hedges so instagram must be a powerful tool. Hedges isnt an average Championship winger, he offers nothing in attack. Dolan does. He is a decent Championship winger, so if he did end up at Bristol City, on a higher wage, that would seem a reasonable move, not worthy of a yawn nor a prediction of being in League 1 in a couple of seasons. That I suspect is a prediction to loosely justify the forced Nyambe comparison. You also seem to think that having absolutely zero ambition is a good thing. Why does he think he is "so much better" than us just because he left at the end of his contract, rejecting one he didnt seem to be sufficient (like many of our players do) and in the meantime giving 100% in every game? The point is that we have over a considerable period of time failed to recruit successfully to fill the wide positions. So I dont think it will be this easy task that Paul Mani suggested. Dolan is a loss. If Dolan goes above us, he may well come up short. Better players than him have, Brereton, Armstrong etc. But it doesnt mean that their move was the wrong one. They were right to try and better themselves, they experienced football at a higher level, and in a worst case scenario, you fall back down to the same level you were at (with more money in your pocket) having experienced somethig better than just an indefinite stay at a club with no ambition of pushing on and not paying players to a competitive level. 1 Quote

TD being an ‘instagrammable Ryan Hedges’ is also possibly the worst take of anything ever written on this site. It’s up there with Venkys never refuse to sign a cheque. Groundbreaking stuff! Awwww….you ok hun? 😩🤣 Quote
FE123 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Looks like Yousef Salech on the move from Cardiff as well, fits the mould but would imagine they want a sizeable fee for him. Quote

Has provided just one memorable moment for me and that was his goal against Watford. Conversely, recall him missing an absolute sitter (at Preston???) that cost us points and a play-off place (missed out on goal difference). Read somewhere that in three and a half seasons for Rovers, he has netted just 7 league goals and roughly the same number of assists. That is both shocking and embarrassing for an experienced senior offensive player. Makes Dolan seem prolific (achieved similar numbers last season alone). If Hedges is the answer then I fail to understand the feckin question! 2 Quote

Yea real purpose they are showing signing two mid 30 year olds and loaning a left back 3 players not likely to be there next season paid significant money for a striker who is very unproven and not that I buy into ‘fan’ takes there’s a lot of Americans laughing at the signing if this was us last year you would be on here skating all of the above show more balance 3 Quote

Backroom Tom Posted 3 hours ago Backroom Posted 3 hours ago Did we see it as a sign of intent from our owners when we signed Batth and Beck or does it only count when someone else does? Said it before but in Weimann, Batth, Beck and links to Sanderson and Dolan I’d be slightly concerned the manager is playing it safe with what he knows 3 Quote
