I don't think the Dolan (who was 18 not 17) scenario is the intention with signing such young players. The intent is to see if they can develop (and sometimes just to fill spaces at youth level or let someone else go on loan).

But they already released him once and probably wouldn't go near it again if he wasn't free.

Can someone please name the signings who are going to start the first game of the season and make a difference?

Ideally would like Rudy Gestede to answer that.

Embarrassing stuff. Get the owner's to INVEST properly in the first XI before it's too late.

That means at least...... a winger (or 2), a STRIKER, an established centre midfielder and an athletic centre back!

As much as many people didn't like Dolan..he was a first team player.

at this point in time ,im`e more worried about travis and brittain being sold,it`s clear that the only incomings now will be loans

venkys have never invested,it`s not going to change soon,barring an earthquake in pune that wipes them all out

It's probably about the time we need VI to "do a JDT or Eustace" and threaten to walk out if there aren't any serious attempts at recruitment.

Sadly I'm guessing he's not that man, indeed in public he's been professing his happiness about how well things are going and the state we are in.

lets see where we are in november or after the annual january "destroy the season" he might not be so happy then,certainly does`nt come across as someone who suffers fools

He was hardly like Dennis who hadn't kicked a ball in a first team for almost a year. Nor had he missed loads of training through injury last season. Therefore I'm not sure how you can say he wasn't fit.

He appeared better as the season went on because he wasn't starting. He was generally coming on when we were shutting up shop and had less ground to cover.

That looks to be his best position, seeing a game out.

He's probably happy about how things are going,if it's going as expected. Can't grumble about pre season .

When VI came here his stock wasn't particularly high and doubt he had offers piling up.

JDT had just won a few titles and his managerial career was on the up.

To a lesser extent Eustace will have had interested parties too, his time at Brum ended prematurely in most people's eyes.

There was probably much less of a reason to sell VI the dream, aka blatantly bullshit to him, his expectations may be much lower as a result.....
