We registered 23 players at the start of last season.

12 of those remain at the club.

That sort of turnover cannot be healthy (with the exception of agents’ bank accounts)

I am sure the churn has a lot do do with this...Who benefits etc?

So from a fans perspective if a couple of million pops up, which RW do we want?Β

A couple of million does not β€œpop up” here.Β

Good owners whos profile kick started rhe snowball effect for sure but also smart enough to realise you speculate to accumulate, have ambition and tapped into the fanbase and history and sponsors jump onboard, as well as outside investment.

Its almost like saying, there is nothing we can do, FFP, our hands are tied, shit fans, our aim is to stay up and build indefinitely for something indeterminate, doesn't pay off as a strategy...

Don't mention snowballs

I’m as certain as I can be that 25-26 will be Wrexham’s β€˜year 3’ for the Championship’s FFP rules.Β
Β

They lost Β£2.7 million in 23-24 so that would leave them Β Β£36.3 million for 24-25 + 25-26.

So much of their shit had gone down BEFORE the snowball. Indeed, it was the very reason for it...Just saying...A bit like seeing the start of a war, as October 7th...

Why would the player have gone for the 12 month ISP when he has a three year contract?

That would mean him having the right to be and work in the country for one year but being contractually tied to us for a further two.

I also doubt the Home Office would grant a one year visa to someone with a three year work contract.

That sort of question sits outside of the guidance to be honest.

My suggestion would be that it would be in all Parties interest for it to be short term, given the opportunity to make it permanent (via the non-ESC route) if so many minutes are played in 12 months.

Either way, it’s cyclical. There will be an opportunity to make Toth into a non-ESC player. It all depends on when his last visa was issued

It does and I maintain this is most likely to have been last year upon his signing.

Having read the Home Office guidance it seems you can only use the short term visa if your stay in the UK is going to be under 12 months.

The assumption, at point of application, must have been that Toth would be staying longer than that and therefore the long term visa would be the relevant one.

Anyways, I’m sure I’m now boring most people with this so I’ll leave it here but for the record I hope I’m wrong and you (and @KentExile) are right as this will free up an ESC place sooner.

Just think back, only a few short years ago, in much simpler times, esc was not a thing

Now we have all of this useless information in our heads, pushing other stuff out to make room.Β  At least in my caseΒ πŸ˜‰Β

Β

In the meanwhile, maybe we can phone and ask for legal advice on the matter?

In the space of a few days we've seen:

1)Β BoroΒ sign Brittain from us

2) Rovers sign Miller fromΒ Hibs

3) HibsΒ sign Hanley who has just leftΒ BirminghamΒ on a free

There's alsoΒ Charlton signing JRC, Bell and Kaminski.

Small world, eh.

There’s plenty of spare room left in mine, I can still hear the echos 😁
