je he over Xmas and new year 2 wins in 11 was because of injuries and squad depth

look at what Val is working with here I think he deserves some grace for a period of time

Ismael has one more transfer target, a striker according to the LT. We should have moved for a striker 6 weeks ago, it would give Ohashi and Gueye competition.

It says "they aim to bolster the attack", it means "right winger "(as per Ismael at the weekend,

stiker is not mentioned 😞

We need someone comfortably better than those two rather than "competition". I like Yuki as an impact sub but Gueye is awful.

When Travis inevitably leaves, that'll be 1,442 Championship appearances out of the door this summer (not including last seasons loans).  Last season alone, 211 Champ appearances. 

So far that has been replaced by 117 Championship appearances (all McLoughlin). 

You can't lose that vast level of experience and expect to have even a half-decent season.  Alarm bells are ringing, and Saturday already feels like a big moment in the season really.

This season is shaping up to be a disaster; thanks for the excitement Rudy...

Only slight hope is that the owners finally sell when it goes to sh*t. They won't want relegation again; it creates too big a drop in revenue that they would never make up in cost-cutting. The cuts only work on a championship revenue, but at rate Pasha/Rudy are destroying the squad we won't maintain that.

Whatever financial shenanigans they are up to, I don't think it would make sense with less revenue/turnover to tinker with. And cutting the budget into oblivion as we drop down divisions would destroy however they are exploiting the asset.

Unless they finally wanted to asset strip properly and destroy us completely, rather than just run us on a shoestring and keep revenue ticking over.

I’ll get my tin hat…but, here’s my view..I don’t blame Travis, Dolan, Brittain or Eustace. 

They saw, everyday , firsthand, the rudderless ship that we have become. 
They saw / felt the lack of ambition and  lack of leadership , the cost cutting in every aspect of employment at Ewood. 

They played  at home in front of either silent or toxic fans and felt the anger of long suffering supporters because we couldn’t get at the root cause. 

They weren’t well paid and they deserve better… meanwhile, we carry on rearranging the deck chairs before we, ultimately, go down.

Who’s next out ? No longer a season ticket holder but this club has been my life for too many years to remember…sad  and  angry.

The only way the owners will even know if we get relegated is when the money men have to find another £5-10 million to offset the drop in Sky revenues. They'll make up a chunk of that through further cost cuts and wages off the books but not all of it. 

Only two ways this ends though - either the Indian authorities / Court force them to get rid of us or the hassle/cost of the legal action and bond eventually tips them once they can't plug the gap with player sales. 

I'm not confident of either but we are quickly reaching the stage of finding out.

We've had the misfortune of being the only club in England owned by owners with bulletproof finances.

They've completely torn the heart and soul out of the club, but they have enough money to keep paying our (dwindling) bills so nothing is done.

It's a zombie club. A shell of the club we all started supporting.

We're in football purgatory.

Our faithful fans keep blaming individuals for poor performances in a team sport once the PR changes. 

Imagine working in a high growth challenging role and every 12 months all your colleagues get replaced with work experience kids

We are a small distant outpost in a vast business empire. A toy at the back of the cupboard that has long been forgotten about. We are the monthly subscription that occasionally see and think "Am I still paying for that? I should really get around to sorting it out." and never do.

We are being run not for the benefit and ambitions of the club, but the bottom line of a poultry conglomerate. Nothing changes while they remain here.
