I genuinely believe you could stick a traffic cone in the opponents box for 90 minutes each week and it would have a better assists/goals return than Ryan Hedges has over the course of his Rovers career.

i did`nt mind him when he first signed,he could whip a decent cross in and was hard to knock off the ball, but since his bad hamstring injury he`s been shocking and offers nothing,he should have been releasedย

Just my opinion but I think Gestede wants the older heads out so he can play championship manager with our squad hoping to hit the jackpot with foreign signings and that 1 or 2 of them can be sold for a decent profit.

I think you imply it in your sentences following this but

Gestede does what he is told ie get older (expensive) heads out so we can reduce overall expenditure.......

Unfortunately we canโ€™t sign a traffic cone, weโ€™ve used up all our ESC slotsโ€ฆ๐Ÿค“โ˜

Our transfer strategy is nothing more than a pile of garbage. Would argue that we have missed out on tons of good players from mainly the domestic market because we only look at foreign teams with relatively low status compared to ours:

- Failure to sign anyone from Luton. This one is for me the biggest mistake. You're talking about a team who played in the PL only two seasons ago. The likes of Doughty, Morris and Adebayo (still at the club) could've been picked up for below market value prices.

- Failure to sign anyone from Plymouth. The likes of Bundu and Mumba (still at the club) would've been cheap but good,ย  Championship-proven acquisitions.ย

- Failure to sign Gassama from Sheffield Wednesday for a cheap price before Rangers swooped in for him.ย

- We haven't explored the free transfer market. We have missed out on McBurnie (Hull) who would've been a decent signing for us. The likes of Diangana is still available but rumoured to have now been offered a contract from another club.

- We haven't explored players who did well at L1 last season (Kone - QPR, Poku - QPR, Barry - Sheffield Utd etc.).

- We haven't explored the loan market, especially PL talents. Many of them have already gone out on loan to other Championship clubs instead (Doyle, Cashin, Rushworth, Lankshear, Devine, Barry, Collyer etc.)

All these opportunities yet the club still hasn't signed a striker or, more alarmingly, a right winger knowing full well that Dolan was never gonna sign a new contract and we only have Hedges as senior player on that position. Instead, we cry foul because we no longer have any ESC slots left (see: Miyoshi). Disgusting.

As a former one season Prem team loaded now with parachute cash there'd be nobody to get from Luton for less than ten grand a week and not one on ยฃ6k a week.

So they won't even have even looked there sadly.

I GUARANTEE no mainstream media will pick up on this and think, "what the hell is going on at Ewood Park" to need to release this.ย

It is heartbreaking.

I remember listening too radio Lancs one Saturday afternoon and the dingles were getting battered about 5 or 6 nil at home. Several players had been substituted at half time. They interviewed Stan Ternent after the game and he said words to the effect - โ€œ There were players out there today that will never play for this club again as long as I am the manager โ€œ. And they didnโ€™t. Like him or loathe him Ternent got them from being a joke club to being a serious proposition again.ย
ย

We could have done with that approach in the past, we might not have been in the mess we are in now. They are several players I can think of who should never have played for this club again after some of the performances.

i like people who tell it like it is. If certain people get offended - tough.

It was late March 1999. One of my most enjoyable footie experiences. Iโ€™d been invited as a corporate guest notwithstanding my Rovers affiliation.ย
Unashamed gloating was the order of the day.ย
P.S. The corporate hospitality was only marginally better than the home teamโ€™s efforts.ย

Nothings really changed with these owners from the day they took over. Theyโ€™ve always been of the opinion that they donโ€™t need to spend on transfer fees and that bringing through youth players can be successful. 15 years thatโ€™s been their thinking. Theyโ€™ve always believed that itโ€™s for the managers/CEOโ€™s to back and support that ideal, rather than for the owners to actually back the manager.
ย

Theyโ€™re set in stone and nothing is going to change their minds. In fact, if anything I reckon their views have hardened in that respect. Weโ€™re stuck with it - and them.

1 league game in and we are issuing statements like this, off the back of fan unrest. Laughable. We're well and truly in the shit.

Also, this basically reads as "Trav is sat in Derby right now"

The issue is that the players who have moved clubs are on โ€˜big moneyโ€™, meaning over 15k a week. I guarantee that the players that we have signed this summer are getting paid less than 10k a week- thatโ€™s our market.

I actually think we will have a reasonable season finishing mid table with the squad we have. The biggest worry is the number of players with championship experience who are leaving- When Wrexham can spend 10 million on a 28 year old striker it shows we can never compete with the owners that we have ๐Ÿ˜ž

How can you refuse to accept and publish minutes of a fans forum meeting which all different fan groups attending agree are accurate, and then say they are committed to โ€œopen communication.โ€

This right winger search is a piss take.ย  How long have they known one was needed and they are still at the scouting stage.ย  Clown shoes.ย

I suspect they don't really want one.

Players in attacking positions, even average ones cost money that we aren't willing to part with.

They are hoping someone comes out of favour and aren't going to be registered with there current club in the last few days of the window is my guess, pick them up on the cheap.

Remember week or so back when Jackson said there is money for a right winger, of course there is!

I can't believe my eyes. All I read yesterday is what we shouldn't have said about Travis and today everyones fuming because they won't talk about Travis.

We have problems, we have senior players leaving due to low wage cap and/or other reasons and a whole bunch of new players inexperienced in the championship that need to gel and learn how to play in this league. However It's starting to feel like if we win on Saturday a number of posters will be disappointed.ย

According to Nixon Rovers have let Mafoumbi go to make space for a new signing.

Feel for Mafoumbi...was probably never going to make it but the club have absolutely wasted his time. Hope he gets himself a club very quickly.

So who's it going to be...Baradji or unnamed right winger?

Baradji, as he will be injured and won't play until Jan.

Oh well they will say.

The appropriate time being after said players have moved and the NDAs kick in to max effect preventing anything but the party line being presentedโ€ฆ

Not unusual in football but for it to be done so amateurishly is not normal

Iโ€™m fuming because they have the fucking bare face cheek to say in public that they โ€œremain committedโ€ to open communication, when every fan groups attending meetings with them agree that trying to communicate with them is bullshit.ย
ย

Weโ€™ve got a first team coach / former interim head coach, who the the current head coach says has left. But the board cant confirm. โ€œOpen communicationโ€.

I canโ€™t understand how people canโ€™t see the problem here by looking outside the manufactured Travis โ€˜smokescreenโ€™.ย
