Duffy's two "accidental" own goals and red card against Cardiff, coincidentally when he was rumoured to be trying to force a move away, should disqualify him from ever returning.Β

I'd suggest never looking or reading these opinion pieces on those websites. They're a waste of your life and a template that they churn out across loads of different clubs for clicks and ad revenue... Consider it spam even.Β

I’m not aware of the reduction in squad list rule if you can’t name 8 home grown players.

Perhaps @KentExile can clarify where they’ve seen this.

Think we have at least nine.

Alebiosu, Hyam, Carter, Wharton, PickeringΒ

Forshaw, Tavares,Β  Cantwell, Hedges,Β

Β

Could also choose to include Barrett, Garrett, Pratt.

Β

Don't know about McLaughlin as he isΒ  Irish.Β

See if we also show the same courtesy to Travis. A player who has put years of constant graft in, no coasting, to help the club having come through the academy.

Or if we go down the petty route of continuing to paint him as a villain without ever saying what he is supposed to have done wrong.

Thanks, McLaughlin doesn’t count (but not because he is Irish)

Going to whisper this but what if the Pasha revolution actually works?

The Β£10k straitjacket hasn't prevented a bunch of signings which have reduced average age and are in the let's see if this works out category. Different refs and those Baggies and Brum performances would have produced different results but can't argue we weren't competitive with two promotion favourites while we put trundlers Hull to the sword.

Ismael got Barnsley into the play offs and if he gets a tune out of Cantwell...

Β£1m for Buckley (who in all fairness 3 years ago looked to be the club's future) proves there are feathered members of the porcine family.

As for Wrexham possibly paying Β£4m for Trav.. Well there had to be a reason why a deal to Derby that was nearly done ten days ago remains nearly done. Is Eustace going to sack Derby now?

It'll be a short twitter post like the one above.Β

No surprise to see Kean and his dad defending him because he sure as hell couldn't defend himself.

If I remember rightly, he could take a text book thrown in!

And what happened if we don't? I expect a very short statement and short thanks for his service. Something has happened the scenes we aren't aware off. I'm sure it will come out but think Elliott Jackson stories on this isnt far off

Paint him in the Villain? Cos Ismael said he wanted to go and to Derby during an interview.

I dont know, but IdΒ  guess VI is on roughly the same as JE, and RG is on a LOT less than the eye watering Β£562k Waggott paid himself according to the last lot of accounts.

In fairness to Waggott (that made me feel sick 🀒) the huge increase appears to have been something to do with deferring his pension payments during COVID. Or something like that, I’m sure someone more financially literate than me can explain.

Nothing happens if we dont. I would just consider it to be petty and in line with the way we tend to treat people under Venkys.

He has offered a lot more to this club including more graft than Buckley has, captained the side very well for years. Therefore warrants a decent send off. Pretty simple.

Talk about the condemned man.

Seems really sad to be leaving but if you've been at the club for 20 years, it's going to hurt.Β

Β

Can’t fault the lad at all, 20 years is a long time I wish him all the best and he’s got an unreal move, shame it hasn’t happened for him in the last few yearsΒ

I’d hardly call two sides that were 7/1 to go up as β€˜promotion favourites’. And this β€˜different referee’ myth is snowballing. A different ref sends Henriksson off for two early yellow. Yes we should have equalised with a penalty at the end of the half, but we created nothing in that game otherwise.

Against Birmingham we threw it away due to lack of quality for both of their goals. De Neve getting skinned for the penalty and a poor corner.Β
Β

Hull was a massive moral boost but we are still 3 losses from 4. I’d like to see how we do on Saturday before I start believing we are going to be ok this season and can look at the top half rather than the bottom half. Morishita looks a cracking signing mind you.

I would respectfully argue that's an optimistic view of our first two matches. We played 85 consecutive minutes combined in those matches without having a shot on goal, although neither Brum nor WBA were much better and neither could have complained if they hadn't walked away with all three points from those matches. The Hull match was the first game where I thought we genuinely looked good, but it comes with the caveat of Hull's squad being badly hit by some kind of virus during the week, so, difficult to read too much into the match other than to say we got the job done and got it done in style.

I think Saturday's match at home to Norwich will be a good indicator of whether the Hull match was an outlier or something to genuinely build off. Norwich are nothing special and there's no reason we shouldn't be able to beat them if we put in the same performance levels as we saw against Hull. It'll be very interesting to see what transpires.Β

Think the club statement on Bucko leaving is crap. Why the hell can't they call the lad John instead of keep repeating his surname. Christ the lads been here since he was about 6 years old. Just doesn't read well to me. Anyway I hope he gets lots of game time out in Saudi and re discovers some form.
