roversfan99 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I find the narrative that hes collateral damage in an attempt to "change" to be a bit of a stretch. We wanted him to stay, he was an important player. We offered him a contract that like many wasnt sufficient. The manager didnt want or expect as much change that has happened. He isnt this hanger on that has been left behind as we move forward for the better. And he is a good Championship midfielder who knows how to win games and leads by example. 5 Quote

Hasta Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Having cut costs on things like players travel budgets, ground maintenance and Sky sports in the blues bar, Suhail now takes his financial hatchet to the players wage bill. This despite the current manager saying he wants to keep the players. And people are thinking it’s some kind of cunning footballing change? Looking for a different mentality of player?  Bloody hell, half the people we bring in have just been relegated. Edited 3 hours ago by Hasta 6 Quote
rigger Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago My lasting impression of Buckley, is of him warming-up on the sideline. 7 Quote

The lad bleeds blue and white.. Surely he was worth a go as a deep lying play maker alongside Trondstadt.  Oh well, gutted.  Such a shame.  I really wanted him to succeed here (and rate his talent) but Buckley needed to go for his own sake. Getting a handful of minutes here and there didn't suit either party, he needs to get a run of games somewhere to get his career back on track.  Agree it's a shame, but he turns 26 in a couple of months. As much as he might've been unlucky with the odd manager, he's had his chance unfortunately. 1 Quote
aletheia Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago So, we all done this window? Loans? Hyam, Pears, Tronstad next windows? Maybe Euros 5m to play with? Quote

I’m well aware of how shit we are run as a football club, but as many posters have stated previously, it’s extremely unprofessional to make remarks about your previous employer. It doesn’t come across well and actually makes me cringe. 6 Quote

Popular Post Neal Posted 2 hours ago Popular Post Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Perhaps this is a bit of a incoherent, distasteful vent but here goes...  Call me a cold hearted fucker but I literally couldn't care less about anyone leaving, like literally no feelings whatsoever and why should I? What have they ever achieved? A promotion? A playoff? A cup? Christ... Even beating Burnley??? They're nothing box standard championship players. Maybe it's just a case of getting older but as football has become even more of a money centric business... I just care about results and performances, the players can play wherever they want... And they will. Most of us will never realise the sort of money they make so I personally couldn't give a shite about their feelings when they're off to play for even more money.  Those in charge (weather we like them or not) obviously think that there is better talent out there and that they're replaceable. So good luck to them, I hope they're right. I'll rightly give them their credit of they're right and their criticism if they're wrong.  All these players are seemingly moaning about us not showing ambition (true) but where have they gone? To clubs who finished lower than us for more money. So let's cut the shit, it's really about money. No words can convince me that they care about this club, they care about their working environment, not the town & the people, they can't ever understand.  After 14 years of dog shit in the championship, I'm somewhat apathetic and open to people coming in with fresh ideas and taking a risk. The club won't ever mean as much to them as it does to me, it's a job to them, it's my life to me... So anyone who wants out can fuck off and the players that have come in, when better money comes along can fuck off aswell.  Win football games. Edited 2 hours ago by Neal 25 Quote

Yeah. Like they obviously think there is better entertainment out there pre-game for the blues bar TV’s than Sky Sports. 1 Quote

Torgeir Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I think our squad over-achieved by finishing 7th last season, and we're offloading the core of that team to Derby at the moment. I'd say that's well played, although a lot of transfers are happening towards the end of the window as usual. We have the international break coming up, giving the new group time to gel and be ready for Watford away a little over a fortnight. Let's beat Norwich first with an inspired Captain Toddy inspiring the troops against his old club, I think he'll be really fired up and we have a few energy bombs on the sidelines ready to come on. Another CM is probably in the works, reall curious to see which profile they choose for that position. Looks like there's plenty competition for Soumano, and good strikers are few and far between so we'll see... it's been a while since we had a goalscoring striker, we were pretty spoiled on that front for a good while. 1 Quote

But now i'm seeing a light in their madness finally, i think this season we will get into playoffs and if lucky we might even get to PL. i think gestede has accidentally signed some good players and they look hungry for success and fame. lets see 1 Quote
