A complete waste of money. And we want to do it again ? Crazy. Okay, what other options do we have? Relying on an untested kid? An inured crock in Bamford?...Crazy. Quote

Yuki pulls his hamstring, out for 2 months. Gudjohnson blowing his arse out playing his 15th game straight with a kid as backup??? Madness if you ask me.  It's only a bad thing if football results are the main priority. Here, they aren't. So it doesn't matter to anyone above us peasants. Quote

MarkBRFC Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Looks like we're just loaning Gueye. Any option to buy will be discarded when they have seen him run offside for the 20th time. Quote

Perhaps we are paying in a way for that now i'm sure if the owners were aware of it they can't have been happy with that at all, then there was BBD and 7 million and 4 years of coaching and wages flushed down the bog. Why is the shadowman still anywhere near the club ? Is this his way of trying to pay them back and atone for his errors ? If we listened back to some of Mowbray's hints in interviews towards the end of his reign they knew this was coming. Yes you are spot on this has been going on for too long they need to be removed 1 Quote

We could have done with a third striker but we have like at CB missed our chance there to get a reasonable option. Dennis though, did people watch the same player as me? Rubbish. He’s clearly not a ‘waste of space’ at worst he’s a poor forward that bagged a few goals and assists. Admittedly he’s been bad more than good and exclusively bad so far this season (and I’d say since the manager came in) I’ve said all summer I expected him to go so not too surprising but would rather we had another option to replace him rather than nobody, as I still think chasing a game he can be an option with Millers long throw Edited 3 hours ago by Tom 2 Quote

He came in with the advantage of replacing Gallagher who had stayed too long and become unpopular. It was assumed that we couldnt get worse, we managed it, but combined with his clearly infectious character, people werent and many still wont have it. The goals and assist thing is a good example of the above. He wasnt scoring goals so people used the goal and assist stat. So its including him missing open nets and the ball hitting his heel, or winning headers 30 yards out as the equivalent to a goal. Bringing him on late in theory can cause carnage but more often than not he just totally spoils any attacks standing offside or losing the ball. Starting games, our record was far worse last season when he started. I would have liked another striker but I would happily shift Gueye. 1 Quote

Tim Southampton Rover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I keep reading comments on social media saying we shouldn't play Tyjon over Gueye because he isn't ready, and I understand that, however, i'd rather Tyjon come off the bench and earn experience and given a chance as well as potentially signing a new contract than playing Gueye, who isn't good enough, and then see Tyjon walk out the door. Ideally, we wouldn't be relying on a recently turned 17 year old or a league one level forward but that's the cards we have. I'd gamble on Tyjon because I don't think he'd give us any less than Gueye would playing V.I's system. Even at 17, he's a smarter player and we've seen in pre-season that he is able to time his runs and can hit the net.   3 3 Quote

No bother then, have a good weekend". He was poor but had a bid of bad luck as well. A rash challenge and a red card, and then injured for a while so never really got going. If he had put that header away I think fans would think differently about him. Quote

Emerald Isle Rover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Fans: we are so short up top we have no depth no plan b unproven players fans: yes get rid of him makes no sense to me at all….start gudjohnsen play tyjon more absolutely fine but letting him go leaves us incredibly short and is a huge huge gamble 3 Quote

But I really dont like this idea of giving game time to a 17 year old purely for the purpose of trying to convince him to sign a new deal. Its likely a futile gesture anyway, I suspect the odd start and some minutes off the bench would sway him from taking a big offer from a big club should it come up. But if that is the primary objective, then whats best for the team becomes of secondary importance. Its not even as if hes signed a deal and we know we are developing our own player. He has always played off the striker in his rare minutes too. 1 Quote

He’s not worked out how I wanted, when the balance of ‘he’s been awful today’ to ‘actually maybe there’s something there when it clicks’ was more like 70/30 I was thinking we had a real chance of getting the most out of him. Sadly that balance is now more like 90/10 (being kind), when he’s good he’s really good but it seems more and more a case of his physicality working rather than much more.
