Sorry if this has already been answered but is Bradford the only time Lewis Miller has played centre back in a back four in his professional career? My trawl through transfermarkt and Footmob seems to suggest so

for me it’s all about the lack of quality as opposed to numbers 

I disagree personally on the numbers but my main point was that I dont agree with signing 1 player to cover 2 positions. You still need 2 bodies for 2 positions. If one of those can also cover another position, it can provide extra emergency cover or more flexibility in game which is an added skill, but it doesnt compensate. Miller might be needed at RB and CB at the same time, so it will mean a second player has to be moved around. I dont think our squad is big enough.

I suppose numbers and actually viable quality for our first team. Montgomery is a good example, regardless of where he plays for the Scotland under 21s, he isnt good enough at Championship level for either role. Forshaw isnt good enough. Gueye isnt good enough.

I agree the quality is the issue 100%

if miller is needed in both it would mean that Carter atcheson one of Wharton McLaughlin and TGH alebiosu are all injured - it’s unlikely 

it’s fair that your preference is to have 2 natural players for every position 

I still think 26/27 players for 11 man game is more than enough but will bring it back to what Iv outlined at the start it’s the lack of quality that’s the issue for me…..to date anyway

I don't think anyone is worried about Hedges not extending his contract. But agreed on the other bits

Let’s not forget that in the past, things were a little bit strange when it came to transfers, in the early years of Venkys ownership.

The one constant in all that time has been Pasha, so is this the reason we have seen so many transfers, this season.

There is still something strange going on and the bullshit that has come out over the last few days, heightens my suspicions.

But they are owned by one of the top 10 wealthiest groups of people in the Championship.

Who've shown they can easily underwrite enough losses to make the club compete with those outside the parachute money but from bigger catchment area's. However their reluctance to employ higher calibre people and install enough ambition and foresight in running the club means crowds remain lower as do income streams outside of player sales.

Coupled with long periods of lack of backing leading to further financial problems, off field issues and good players not wanting to stay means they constantly lose ground on similar competitors and renders the whole 'owned by billionaires' model rather pointless.

I had a friend who played for Aberdeen youth team at the same time as myles anderson and said he was comfortably the worst player in the squad.

This new “ strategy”from the people making all the decisions will boil down to results on the field. If they fail they will get so much abuse and they’ll all deserve it.

I don’t think there is one single person at the top of this club with a modicum of success at doing what they’re being asked to do. Rovers are in a really bad position. The people the fans want to be here are being willingly shipped out while those with nothing of substance to offer are immovable. It can’t last and succeed.

My mates son played with him at Barrow and the same goes, although he was the richest apparently.
