I agree.Β

It's far from the first thing I'd be lining up to criticise VI for, I reckon he may well turn out to be one of our worst ever managers which is far more relevant.

However If negotiations have been going on in private behind the scenes then for him to unilaterally announce this without the permission of the Travis camp then it's pretty poor form.

Then of course, there's the possibility that Derby won't meet our valuation anyway in which case VI will have besmirched Travis's reputation in the eyes of the supporters for no good reason.

It comes across as though he is acting to instruction and trying to ensure Travis leaves.

Agreed.

Do you miss Greg Broughton yet however?

Surely val falls into the category of shafted by recruitmentΒ

Was Gestede not in position all last year? Was Pasha not here?

They chose to wait until the summer(Gestede said this)Β

Yes.

The only thing you can say slightly in their defence is that this carnage should come as no surprise.

Gestede specifically said during the car crash interviews that the fact so many key players were out of contract was "an exciting opportunity" so it was obvious what was coming.

Look what happens to the few that did speak up…

NDAs are not only enforced legally they are backed and enforced by the entire football and sportsmedia industry

Football is a team game played by individuals. They all look after number one. Nobody is going to rock the boat - ever. There are a multitude of lucrative jobs awaiting for ex-players who toe the line and keep their traps shut. Throw in coach anybody, set piece coach ? Β They’ve all got their eyes on the future prizes. Remember what happened to Mike Newall when he spoke out ?

Oh boo hoo travis did you not like the manager being honest with the fans/press

What bolloxs. travis and his slimey reps will have been conspiring in secret with eustace and his cronies about getting him to derby for months

Ismael is clearly similar to jdt in that it's his way or the highway and just says it how it is... And I actually like that(even if it does upset prima-madonnas like travis) to a point (which i dont feel Ismael has crossed.Β

Souness was the same! Only Souness did end up crossing that line towards the end of his tenure her hahaha

No. Why would I?

2 charlatans gone in the form of him and Waggott.

2 more in the shape of Suhail and Gestede to go. Probably 3 with Ismael.

Down to the recruitment department?

They have fuck all money to work with and if teams could build championship sides on buttons they would all be doing it.

Do we think they’ve started negotiating with the players who are out of contract in β€˜27 yet?

No. He didn’t like not being offered a new contract when he wanted one, and then a popular manager he had a bond with leaving due to the club refusing to show ambition with the current players or the squad in general.

Probably doesn’t care one bit what Val said.

Anyone else concerned about Axel the Swede?Β  When we signed him a lot on here were very pleased but so far he has shown nothing.Β  Another Siggy?Β  Flatters to deceive? or does he just need a bit of time, or has he realized what he has done and it is affecting him.Β  A bit of a concern no? or am I being too harsh too early.

15 players out of contract in 2027. Somehow the worst is yet to come…

Ismael reminds me of Iley greatly.

The only surprise to me really is that he actually managed to pick up a few wins last season albeit they were in matches which looked like dead rubbers at the time.

Not at all. Has all the attributes to be a good player. Should have had at least one assist against Bradford.Β

I also think that Travis loved playing under JDT. As I have said in other posts. The best we have seen of Trav was under JDT. He played with his heart on his sleeve and I guess he felt that himself. Β

Not sure how old you are but the Club didn't start when Jack Walker took over.

We've had managers prior to that who've had to work in far more restricted financial circumstances than VI.

Is our local journalist going to ask the club if they plan on spending a few million each on some good individual players like other clubs do ?

Absolutely no fucking chance.

Just posts pro Rovers stiff, with absolutely nothing against them. Pointless.

His reply earlier "I just post the facts"

Why aren't you investigating posting interesting articles about the regime, about Gestede sayings out of contract players means excitement?

Sasha pasha Suhail Sheikh the shadow man.

Ismael didn't need to say that Travis has asked to leave. He could simply have batted off questions and limited his talk to the dismal defeat to Bradford.

As I said earlier, he's either an idiot and said it without thinking of the impact it could have on the player and fanbase, or he's complicit in the Regime's cover-up operation which has been gaining a lot of momentum the last few days.

The Regime knows that eyes are on them and pressure is building. Turning the focus on 'wantaway' players and feeding Jackson sob stories about 'lifechanging' offers from Derby all part of that

Β

Or he's pissed off that his captain has come to him and asked to leave and he's not going to shield him from any blame.

Before they fell out for whatever reason Travis did have a good first season under JDT.
