150th Anniversary kit/celebrations

Based on the new training kit unveiled today (which I personally think is awful), what are Macron going to do to butcher the kit?

Does anyone know when it's due?

Is it going to be left to the fans to celebrate next season. With the way things are going, players leaving, little recruitment, the top of the club clueless, and no doubt a relegation battle, I have little hope.

The Loons need to feck off, the best celebration possible!

I'm surprised/concerned that the training gear appears to be standard generic stuff that gives absolutely no suggestion of a club about to celebrate a momentous anniversary in a few months.

So I'm not expecting the kit to do much.

The least I would have expected is one or both of a limited edition club crest / retro crest or a colour scheme/design that has some sort of reference to past glories or history.

But no, too much effort all that, lets just go for standard stuff they churn out every year.

I actually don't mind the training wear. It's probably sensible to have some "modern designs" if they decide to produce a "classic" aesthetic for the playing kit to try and cater to as many tastes as possible.

 

Why on earth don't the items come with Macron logos though ?!?

I never claimed to be of sound mind 

I always like navy kits so the navy one is nice to me, wouldn’t buy it but I like it.

I think the training kit is smart and decent.

I couldn't work out if it just meant the word 'Macron' on the back. Surely it can't be without the standard logo on the front? Unsurprisingly, the wording is vague, much like everything else that comes out from the club.

Even worse. Looks like really tacky cheap knock off stuff with a poor version of the Rovers badge ironed on the front.

Last year I was asked by Fraser Read if I wanted to participate in helping gather feedback for the 150th kits. We had a great meeting at Ewood prior to a home game, I wrote up loads of notes/photos & sent them to Fraser. 

Shortly afterwards he left Rovers & all communication with that group ceased so I’ve no idea what will finally emerge frankly. 

The plan was for 3 regular season kits & a special edition shirt (like the 125th) for the anniversary. 

If it doesn’t happen like that…then somebody prevented it…

I have little faith or expectation that the kits are going to involve anything that resembles a tribute to our 150th anniversary.

The training gear certainly has no link to it. Fair enough if you like what they've produced but it really is just along similar sorts of lines to what they've churned out every year. I would have expected something there at least as a nod to the anniversary.

I will be disappointed myself if the 'tribute' to the 150th involves an attempt at replicating the 1995 shirt or includes the Premier League trophy/Wainwright bridge. All too recent - the 150th is much bigger than just the PL win or a bridge they built nearby 10 years ago. 

I do find it really poor that at the very least they aren't rolling out a new club crest for this season. Even if they just added a '150 years' ribbon to the current badge, or used the coat of arms crest. Just something as a nod to the occasion. Shame but I suppose it just confirms the suspicion that any sort of effort or expense really is too much for them,

That yellow and black kit was fantastic, ASICS knocked out some fantastic kits, albeit I wasn’t a fan of the orange CIS kit and whilst I liked the luminous yellow and blue one as a kid I think it’d honking now. The kaleidoscope ASICS keeper shirts were brilliant, a piece of football folklore

Our beautiful Lancashire Rose Badge needs no change but absolutely spot on with the 150th year Ribbon..a nice touch.

If only real fans ran our Club.

why would the training kit have any link to the 150 years anniversary

We had a chance to voted for the kits we wanted and lets see what they have gone for when release

I think there is a clue in the marketing material…one badge for each kit. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Maltese Cross is on the 150th kit. 

The 1970’s red rose, the town crest & the classic Rovers badge being the others…
