Yes I have, Wagner is very much the businesses brains behind the club and Brady understand the sporting mindset. But Wagner has a very clear plan and is on the ground everyday.

Don't want to spoil it for anyone but when they lost the Vertu Cup Final to Peterborough, despite romping League 1, Wagner treated it like a death in the family and said they had to learn to win big games on the days they needed to win them.

Then after subsequently  clinching the League 1 title with an EFL record 111 points he was on the pitch telling the adoring fans "This won't be your best day under us - not even fucking close!"

Can you imagine!

Suhail would be on the pitch saying "We've been self sustaining this year. Maybe we can do the same next year as well!"

Looking at the BBC website on 2 March 2015 there's a new owner of a Championship club saying ;

"We will do whatever is appropriate to invest in the club to get them to the Premier League"

The club was Sheffield Wednesday; the new owner was Dejphon Chansiri.

You would have fallen for him as well.

What matters is achievement; not loudmouths making extravagant claims to suck in the gullible and the naive.

Whatever.

Have you even watched the series?

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating won't it.

Yes; the proof of the pudding will be in the eating. Which is why it is so ridiculous to be falling at the feet of owners now when they haven't achieved anything other than a lot of noise in the media.

Tom Brady was the GOAT in the NFL as a player; but as an owner he has still to cut it as the franchise that he bought into last year - the Las Vegas Raiders - had a terrible season.

I have to confess I have no interest whatsoever in American egg chasing.

Were they particularly successful before he took over or something?

To be fair, I think he has 10% of the franchise. They declined last season when I think people thought Brady's influence might see an improvement. Obviously it is early days in a sport where, unlike football here, you can have poor years without a penalty as there is no relegation.

Hmm sounds a bit like this from 2010

When they bought Blackburn for £23 million in Nov. 2010, Venky's chairperson Anuradha Desai spoke of "leveraging [Venky's] global influence in establishing Blackburn Rovers as a truly global brand," and of "actively supporting the organisation to ensure that Blackburn Rovers remain one of the best-run clubs within the Premier League."

That panned out excellently too lol

Don't forget NFL teams can't just go and sign x, y and Z like football. You have trade and deal. Plus they have a salary cap

Fast and frantic first half with very little quality. Players constantly diving and a weak referee ruining the game

Has anyone else been watching the documentary about Birmingham?

I can't stress enough how impressive Wagner and Brady come over as. They'll leave our "We just want to be sustainable" approach so far behind in a year or two they probably might as well be Man City by then.

Suhail, Madame, Balaji and the next CEO should be made to sit down and watch the series to see what proper owners look like.

Saw pre match interview with Wagner and very impressed.  Spoke with clarity, passion and purpose and emphasised importance of relationships with fans and community.

In another league to our owners and executive management.

Like watching paint dry.

Yeah, not a spectacle by any stretch.

I'd say Birmingham look better than Ipswich though. Early days but people expecting Ipswich to go straight back up, not looking to hopeful based on this.

George Hirst doesn't look like he's improved very much from the time he was shite here. I know it's only the first game but he doesn't look like a prem player from the season before to me

George Hirst mouthing "that's what I do "

Actually George it really isn't .

Been a poor game really, threatening to boil over a few times

Usual shite referee. Bookings for fun in the first half, and then in the second half when he was losing control cards kept in the topic for things three times worse. At the end his decisions were laughably predictable.

Whilst what is happening at Sheff Wed is disgusting

Players who earn thousands (even if not being paid) complaining about not getting free sock tape made me laugh. I have some insulation tape in a drawer I'm prepared to donate if they want it.

Thought it was a decent game.

Impressed with Brum - great intensity and played some good stuff.  Big mistake was they scored and then sat back instead of going for killer second.  Top 6 finish for them - Davies spoke well and clearly has them well drilled, thought Neumann and Osayi-Samuel were outstanding at the back and free transfer signings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ipswich were Ipswich, so resilient - McKenna is a terrific manager and still lining his ducks up in a row.  A point tonight given where they are (in transition) is a great result.  Will get promoted in 1st or 2nd.

Brum will stuff us at Ewood next week - far better quality of player and so well coached.

I thought Ipswich were shocking. No shots on target before that penalty that never was. If that's handball the game's gone. One of the other Ipswich players was a good yard or two inside the area when the penalty was struck as well. No way they're amongst the favourites to go up automatically on that showing.

Birmingham looked decent enough. Probably a good bet for top 6. Hopefully being pegged back in such unfortunate circumstances will have  derailed their momentum a bit for when they face us.

Start judging Brady's Raiders on this season not last.Last season the Coach and QBs weren't his choice, changes this offseason were done on his suggestion.
