Hyam isn't a bad player, he is quite good, but he is not an organiser.  So its no surprise that our defence looks more solid when we have a Batth/Fadz/Ayala in there too

I don't class finishing 7th in the championship as a good outcome for Blackburn Rovers.

All things considered finishing 7th this season and keeping the play offs alive until the death would be a monumental effort as it was last season to be honest.

Yes we should always be aiming for that and season on season they should be building on the previous season, strengthening the weak areas and maintaining or even trying to better the strong areas.  However we all know that NEVER happens under this lot, never has, never will they have no desire for it.

You should always build from a position of strength it's the only way now for a club like us but this ownership and those running the club always find reason or cause reason for good work to be ruined and start a new journey project  chapter (i think we are up to now)

It's almost as if borrowings need reducing and people lust for commissions.

But whatever i'd rip someones arm out the socket to finish 7th this coming season although i'm pretty sure all arms are safe for now.

I dont think I can remember us ever being almost on the eve of a season so bereft of attacking options.

It's going to be brutal without major reinforcement in those areas I fear.

Miller certainly starting with the Brittain departure.

Henriksson might have arrived too late for Ismael to coach into him the Rovers needs. Besides which we don't really know where in midfield he will slot.

I would argue Hedges is more a wide midfielder than winger so he could take that slot rather than be a challenger to Trav, Tronstad, Cantwell and Forshaw.

No bad thing that WBA are probably seeing the player list at 2pm on Saturday as much a mystery as it is to us.

Rovers have posted pictures of him training with the group. No idea if he's fit enough to play at the weekend, but he's not on the treatment table.

Axel started and played last Saturday in Gais 3-0 win so should be match fit already playing 12 games this season.

Can't see him starting perhaps last 20 depending on how the game turns. He's not had as much preseason and gelling as the rest of the squad so probably more minutes on the training pitch then unleash the OZZ!!!

VI had a good eye for starting 11 at the end of last season. He’s had an opportunity to add some guys that he believes will be good additions to the club. 

This is a tough opener; and, several new guys who should figure prominently later in the season might not be quite ready. 

A 2-2 outcome would be quite a coup.  I can’t wait for it to start!
