At this point, I would just drop every single player who has a year left on their contract (Tronstad, Travis, Hyam, Hedges) and perhaps hand the captain's armband over to McLoughlin. Ismael seems to have lost their confidence in him anyway and needs to build an entirely new squad by the looks of it. This game comes way too early for us, fear a big defeat honestly.

                            Toth

Alebiosu   Miller   McLoughlin  Ribeiro

                Henriksson   Tavares

Kargbo             Ohashi           Cantwell

                           Gueye

This lineup have zero defensive cover in central midfield but it might be able to score a goal at least.

After seeing Henriksson's and Gueye's abysmal performances last night, I've now changed my mind regarding the lineup:

                            Toth

Alebiosu   Miller   McLoughlin  Ribeiro

                  Tavares   Tronstad

Kargbo             Cantwell        De Neve

                           Ohashi

My patience is wearing rather thin with Kargbo as well but I'm still convinced he'd be much more of a threat on the right hand side making runs on the outside of defenders instead and crossing with his favored right foot. We would also be able to create overloads on the right flank using the mobility from Alebiosu, Tavares and Kargbo.

Born and bred Rovers fan... and what the wretches, and the leeches they've brought into the club, have created over the last 15 years isn't Blackburn Rovers, its a pathetic husk of what we one were.

So if losing brings on their demise - as they wont be fucking going anywhere if we finish mid table every fucking year for the next decade - then bring it the fuck on.

I take it you don’t attend matches

Lots of bigging up Birmingham on here, are they really all that? To be honest I fear the referee more than them.

                            Toth

Miller        Hyam      McLoughlin     Pickering

                  Travis     Tavares

Hedges           Cantwell        De Neve

                         Ohashi

Yes, Travis. Should be reminded he is club captain and get on with business.
If he's sold next week he's sold next week. He's still a rovers player, and I think he's professional enough to get that.

We didn't play poorly at WBA and with Cantwell to come back in - maybe Tavares replacing Travis - I don't see any reason why we shouldn't beat a newly promoted team from League 1.

2-0 Rovers.

We didnt create a chance of note (most we managed was a half chance for Ohashi) against West Brom, having seen them rip us apart for half an hour before retreating. I would suggest that is pretty poor.

Sorry to be Mr Negative but I thought we were tripe against West Brom. Tons of possession, did zero with it, one shot in 99 minutes. Once Albion got their goal they were happy to sit back and let us have the ball, seemed to cotton on we didn't know what to do with it.

I mean, that is pretty much all they'll have to do 🤷‍♂️

That thought process has been the downfall of many an overconfident team. Remember Spuds at Cardiff ?

best thing to do with kargbo is to stick him up front, tell him to stay on the halfway line and look for through balls and hopeful punts,he`ll give more trouble to centre backs than mahkter and yoshi, mahkter completelry out of form and yoshi to lightweight,a centre backs worst nightmare is someone with speed, given the fact that kargbo can`t cross a ball either we might as well let him try a few shots, though you might want to duck if you are in the blackburn end🙂

That's not negative, that's exactly what happened. We could still be playing WBA now and we still wouldn't have scored.

I'll offer one reason: the significant downgrading that has been occurring this summer (and it's still ongoing!). Another indication is that we were unable to defeat a League One team that has just been promoted from League Two. Some might even suspect team morale to be quite low.

Sorry, we were shocking at West Brom.

Cole, Jansen, Dunn, Duff, Hughes roughing em up, we could fight fire with fire!

Could see us going for a 3-4-3.

Maybe these:

Toth

Miller, Hyam, McLaughlin, three at the back

Alebiosu wingback right, Ribeiro/Pickering wingback left

Tronstad Tavares (central mid)

Kargbo, Henriksson, Cantwell (three attackers)

We had a good team, but Spuds didn't reckon them, they came with the attitude that they would piss it, so did their fans, they where both wrong. Never start a game with the wrong attitude.

So no striker then. Cool.

We were absolutely shite. One half chance a penalty shout out of no where as well as the fact Albion could have had 3 or 4 without trying. On top of that Albion looked like a bottom 3rd side yet miles ahead of us. Dark days.

I was hoping that was gonna be the plan v Bradford when he came on but no one seemed to be able to pick him out apart from cantwell. Need to use the tools in our box if that means we get closer to goal

Trouble is, we can't rely on other clubs' over-confidence to work in our favour for 45 more games this season. Imagine being able to survive simply on the incompetence and ineptitude of your competition...Ain't happening in the 'eat you up and spit you out' Championship, that's for sure.

Cheers Venksters.

DESPICABLE VENKYS OUT!

I watched with West Brom commentary and they thought Rovers were the much stronger team as the game went on, rather than it being West Brom letting us play.

In general it wasn't the worst performance at a difficult venue, but the creativity was way off.
