Completely nonplussed by this news, I thought Jackson wrote the most sycophantic drivel imaginable anyway so God only knows what the Club were expecting.

Don't like all this LT going on tour as guests of the Club type stuff - it's  the job of the Club's PR department to provide the stuff about how wonderful they all are. It's the LT's job to remain independent and provide an objective and balanced view. I know the LT need the Rovers coverage but I hope they stick to their guns and don't cave in to blackmail from the Club.

In the short term I imagine they'll gain a lot more goodwill and subscriptions if they take a step back and report fairly but impartially

There was a tweet a few weeks ago - someone had asked EJ whether he was doing an interview with the club after the transfer window closed given the videos with the in house media team and Radio Lancs. Pretty sure his reply was along the lines of Suhail wouldn't allow it...

Parallels with JDT "Ask Suhail" - start name checking, get banned(sacked).

Not on X --anyone give me the story? Thanks.

Every Rovers signing this year has been preceeded by that stupid chair with the players' national flag draped over it.

I believe that's the north Korean flag.

totally disgusted with the actions of the club.

I wonder if the club statement a few weeks ago about chants on the BBE is all connected - a management that despises the fan.

Simple idea to show the club what is thought of this situation - get hundreds of LT front pages handed out at Charlton for our fans to hold up. Then hopefully thousands the next home game. Wouldn't need to be the full paper, just copies of their front page.

This news has just stoked up my worst fears....has legal pressure in some form been applied to the protest groups as it all went very quiet suddenly?

If this is how those within the Corridors of Ewood want to play then cry havoc and let slip the Dogs of War!

We dont want these shysters, Feck 'em.😠

Yes is the answer to that. There have been recent legal threats made to one of the posters on here.

Sorry,  Coalition and the WATR are extremely busy in the war rooms and have been for a few weeks.

Me, well ive been working in Ireland last few weeks (home at weekends).

Legal action? Yes Rudy Gestede personally threatened me with legal action, I took a little pause to get legal advice , ensure my info would stand up and rounded up the witnesses. I responded by saying we'll go to court!!

He responded by stating he walks into ground same way each game trying to coax a public encounter.

Also let him know "I know" other things (let's call it an insurance policy) that i can release at any point.

We do have lives too, so its a balancing act at present.

Perfect that Glen and great to know you stood up to the bully.

The truth disappeared from the nest of vipers that is Ewood Park a long, long time ago.

They've managed to maintain a facade of the truth during that time by having the right people in place to 'handle' the media aka Waggott, Mowbray, Eustace, Broughton and JDT.

All gone, fed up of being used to legitimise a corrupt and poisonous regime, and not replaced, or at least not convincingly.

Only the deluded and naive have continued to believe that the party line put out is accurate. It might make some feel better if they convince themselves that every comment and press release from Rovers' end is the gospel truth but it simply doesn't stack up.

That's why I shook my head with bewilderment at far fetched claims and praise for Gestede, Waggott, Pasha and Ismael for their 'honesty' simply because they sat in front of a friendly interviewer and answered comfortable questions. Doesn't mean they are telling the truth or providing an accurate account of things.

With the amateurish Pasha now in charge it is clear that he hasn't got the skills that the likes of Waggott had - he was a crafty old goat but at least he was crafty enough to recognise a need to keep the local media and fans quiet. The clown Pasha instead thinks he can silence criticism or questions through direct conflict. Highly unlikely to work out well for him unless the Telegraph back down and toe the line.

It was clear that the regime would attempt to crack down on dissent after the diabolical performance of the stooges earlier in the summer and the building furore over their negligent mismanagement of the club. Only a couple of away wins has prevented outright rebellion and they are clearly concerned at ever falling gates.

Hopefully the Telegraph now position themselves as the mouthpiece for the anti-regime movement. In a time of civil war (which this is, and will remain until they're gone) we need every friend we can get and the local media can be a powerful tool. It won't quite be Newcastle/Mike Ashley levels of local media pressure but it can help and that's important.

The Telegraph could wage war on the club now, as Im sure the current and ex employees know plenty of stuff that could lift the lid on the really serious stuff.

I hope they go for it and don’t back down

Usually when one side escalates like Rovers have done, they have an end goal and amicable resolution in mind.

Something about this tells me the club doesn't have such a position planned and has opted for a brittle uncompromising stance.

The tone of the statement gives the club no out and more importantly puts the LT in a position of having to fight it it is to retain editorial integrity and readership credibility

In which case something breaks...

The demand that away clubs deny the LT reporting rights also looks desperate and ineffectual.

I hope Charlton tell Rovers this is not their fight and honour Elliot Jackson's press credentials.

A football club has and always will belong to the people. Some people cannot afford to go to games, some people physically cannot attend games and they use any media outlet to follow their club. A football club has no right to block an outlet from reporting things to their fans. This is just wrong, embarrassing and a flex of power that would only be thought of by pathetic, weak and incompetent management.

I think Pasha/Gestede and Co have made a mighty blunder here. They can treat their own staff and players like dummies

but banning the local paper from reporting Rovers because they don't like what they say is unprecedented.

Bound to get national media attention of a very negative kind. Suppose the National Union of Journalists bans their members from reporting on Rovers?

We wiil be a laughing stock.

This reeks of panic and very much supports Glen's view that the opposition is getting to them.

Whoever made this decision is an idiot. I doubt Pune will approve.

Had to hide a lot of posts to do with politics just now, (thanks for reporting, this bringing them to our attention) this is in spite of everyone knowing politics isn’t allowed on this side of the forum.

Posts have been hidden on this occasion, but next time it’ll be short bans.
