We are being hung out to dry by our ownership, happily aided by Pasha and Gestede. Running a team in the Championship costs money, a ridiculous amount of money, hell even a WASTE of money but people are willing to do it. It makes no sense but it's not our job as fans to justify it.

Venkys, just put the club up for sale and dissappear. I know for a fact the two names above wouldn't last a day under new ownership.

Think we may see AP in goal in the near future - would reinforce the ”unlucky” narrative by putting large portion of the blame on BT.

Also - how can so many of our subs fail to understand offside. Truly frightening

We'll see Pears back in soon enough once they've flogged Toth.

Then we'll see goals let in like that again on a regular basis again.

Yes , every chance , Toth and Cantwell gone in early January !

Maybe the right back too.

You can get used to losing and we look like a team that is becoming used to losing I’m afraid. I’ve seen Rovers get relegated several times and “ We played well but it just didn’t go for us “  ran through each of those relegations.

Yep, Rovers are too nice to play against

Toth would be no loss.

The other two represent the only vestiges of real quality in the squad for me which is why combined imo)with one of the worst managers we've ever had is why I have so little hope.

Which players can we look at and say "we've always got a chance because of X"

Can we trust the Head Coach to set us up in a manner to be hard to beat?

The answer has to be negative in each case.

Cantwell out for 10 days. Anyone know aboyt Miller?

This is disastrous. We knew this would happen, that as soon as we picked up a few injuries with this lightweight squad, that we'd be staring down the barrel, it's happening faster than I expected.

Are we doing too much in training ?

We could easily be rock bottom come this time next week...Squad depth will really come back to bite us.

We played well today, but it was inevitable that Coventry would come back into it. Based on performances I would agree we are in a false position but not by bloody much.

Your guess is as good as mine mate, but I'd be fascinated to know what happens at training, given our start to the season.

I think Ismael hinted in summer that he wanted a team of strong ,robust, athletic type players for this squad. So to address that, we sold our more consistent centreback in Hyam and now rely on two very injury prone ones. Then we signed a load of players who have never played in a division with this level of quality, match intensity and volume of fixtures. We then signed a player with an injury where we have no idea how serious it is or when he'll be able to play, or whether he'll be up to the speed and quality of the league. So we've definitely taken steps to be strong/robust/athletic etc.

Exactly my view as well Rev.

Where does the hope come from?

I actually don't think this seasons results are linked to managerial quality, the fact is that a lot of our players just aren't very good.

True.

The only hopes I can see are:

1) Sacking VI and appointing a decent manager.

and

2) Having a particularly good January window

Neither of which are likely to happen.

No mate, that'll be a wind up I guarantee

Thought as much, guaranteed job even with relegation.

Gallacher said on Radio Lancs he twisted his back badly in the first half and that that could cause all sorts of problems elsewhere. Then he went off in the second half.
