Beggars can't be choosers and he is out of favour everywhere it seems, they just wouldn't hire him. Id love to have him back. I really doubt Sam has the fire in his belly for it anymore. Agree on him coming back though, it'd be night and day compared to what we currently have. 1 Quote
joey_big_nose Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Cant really see anything we can do to change things. We've actually been a lot worse going forward than Coventry or Sheff Utd. Really struggled to fashion anything. Feels like we will commit more and more forward to try and create something then get done by two easy goals on the break. The theme is very much the stars need to align with lots of successful passes and overloads for us to create a scoring chance, while conversely we will give away an easy goal to a straight ball down the middle. 1 Quote
DackDackGoose Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago we look like a team that have made 4-5 signings that haven't worked out, still no pace. Hickman just doesn't seem to have composure, so we're winning the ball then instantly giving it away. Something we're missing from in Travis. He wasn't technically brilliant but at least retained possession. Hard to watch. 3 Quote

I wondered earlier in the season whether suggesting we wouldn't win another home game in 2025 was a fairly outlandish suggestion to make but now it would be somewhat of a surprise if we did! At least there will be no valid footballing reasons for keeping VI on if we lose this. Gestede and Pasha will be heaping pressure on themselves by keeping him on. Quote
DutchRover Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I mean almost anyone would do a better job than the current hierarchy... Ismael has no tactical or motivational talent at all as is becoming more and more apparent each week Quote
TimmyJimmy Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago My question is why are organised to have all our players on the wings, no one in the middle no one filling the attack from the middle. If you win the ball on the wing there's no point as you've no targets in the middle to pass to. Second point is why am I even bothered enough to post this, I'm so disillusioned I really can't be arsed. 3 Quote

WacoRover Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Rovers cannot score. Rovers cannot defend. Rovers cannot pass, or keep possession. It will be a small miracle if we get a point before Christmas, let alone, three. 2 Quote

moerpho Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago About as bad as expected. I want to like these guys, but this is a team it’s really hard to rally behind. No real plan in attack and a lot of aimless balls delivered without planned movement in the box. Piss poor in other words. Something has to change quick or we are following Sheff Wed down. Quote

booth Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Absolutely crap. Who would have thought having two dunces in charge, a hopeless manager and a team full of barrel scrapings would take us to the bottom of the league? Another poor show from Venky Rovers. 15 years of shite culminating with relegation on the 150th birthday of the club. 2 Quote

Beat the opposition full back by having two or three round him. Great when it works. But if it doesn't suddenly the middle of the pitch is empty as your centre mids are on the wing and you are very vulnerable to the counter. But I guess the point is if your strikers cant do anything on their own you have to make these risky moves just to create something. 1 Quote

lraC Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago The results are becoming irrelevant now, just as they are with SWFC. The only thing that matters, is somehow getting rid of the owners. More hope in the offing after the announcements of the protests for the Derby game. Resigned to relegation this season, but pray we can get them out. 3 Quote
wilsdenrover Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago (edited) Anyone think Coventry already have more points than we’ll get all season? Edited 22 hours ago by wilsdenrover 1 Quote

TGH looks very similar to Travis for me in capabilities and style of play, but Travis had a lot of experience and in his peak. TGH is much rawer. TGH would be a very useful player to have on the bench to provide support for Travis and Tronstad. But we are utterly dependent on him. 2 Quote
