Easy for you to say, you don’t have to moderate and deal with the associated reports!

Adult kindergarten is a phrase that springs to mind 😉

(but it would be fun watching the inevitable "fall outs")

Or he flops and leaves after a year on a free and we have to pay up the remainder of his contract?

When was the last time we had to pay someone's contract up after a year?

We are allegedly paying 3.5 mill for him. It would be beyond idiotic to give him a 2 year deal. It would also be ludicrous to pay anything like that for a player we thought might flop after a year and need paying off.

Very apt - always close to bankruptcy, change policies and business models regularly, have been bailed out by the owners who now want it to suddenly break even, suffer from having overpaid staff previously and then implementing extreme cutbacks, have downgraded many aspects of their product, repeated talk about new ownership that never happens...

Maybe we will see an anniversary plane in all white with a maltese cross on the tailfin in the future 😜

I'm just going to sit here and assume he classes wing backs as an attacking option.

The formation he implemented relies heavily on having very good wingbacks to form part of the attack. When Alebiosu is back, we are sorted on the right but as it stands we have no good option on the left. And we'd still; need a backup for both sides.

Not sure that Ismael implemented the system of his own accord

There were noises that it was top down from Adam Owen, which may explain why Ismael (being "aligned") hasn't changed it back despite not having any strikers or wing backs for the past month

That being said, your point remains, without wingbacks who can provide an attacking threat, this system is useless

It's a really intriguing signing this one, mainly because this fella doesn't appear to be an out and out striker.  He's played right or left of a front 3 for the vast majority of his senior career.  In 32 games in Aalborg's relegation season for example, he only played CF 5 times.   He scored 8 goals in 32 games, but there was a hat-trick in there too, so make that 7 goals in 31 games... 1 in 4.5 games.

Similar story at Bodo, he appears to have played almost exclusively on the right of a front 3.  Not many minutes, but did score 4 goals in 10 appearances. 3 of those goals were either the 4th or 5th when Bodo absolutely hammered teams. He did get one 94th minute winner though.

3.5m Euro is a big fee by our standards, and the fact he's barely played CF in his senior career is a bit of a concern, particular considering we don't play with any attacking width at all. Perhap's he's been brought in to compete more with Yuki and Morishita, who tend to play in the pocket behind Gudjohnsen.

Another gamble, that's for sure!

Vals comments are quite concerning to me I’m not sure how he can be content to wait because we have one attacking player in. It seems a massive shift in tone from a few weeks back when it was we need 3 before hull and now all of a sudden he’s saying we have bought time to be more patient with only 2 through the door

a likely tanking tomorrow could reset that tone again

we need another striker a number 9 I see Jorgensen as Ohashi cover

lwb is required cover for rwb also and a cm - don’t think we will get close to all of that but him seeming satisfied and saying there’s proof the club is backing him has irked me

£3.5 million as touted for Jørgensen seems an awful lot for a 25-year-old lad who's been scuffling around minor Scandinavian leagues in recent years. And why a 3 year plus contract when he's never been anywhere more than 2 seasons?

Seems you're forgetting who runs our sinking ship of a club.

The original and best ever Rovers transfer rumour for anyone predating 1992.

The Tony Ford one was quite good as well although sadly i think that one was true !

It sounds like all the money (lol) is gone, and the most we will get now is maybe a cheap youngster or 2 on loan at the end of the window who nobody else wants

We have to hope Jorgensen was worth it (not including Cashin as he seems to have cost us a packet of chocolate buttons and a guarantee of game time) and that we are over the worst of our injury issues for this season

The likely outcome although he has came out with established championship striker line again - Hardie would be my best guess but a poor injury record

also with the squad numbers there has to be outgoings

Not convinced on this signing again, especially Val saying he wad a natural fit in the summer when we don't even play the same way.

Hope to be proven wrong, but yet again for me we've gone for a punt on a young unproven player instead of anyone with the experience for the league we're in. We'll have  a better idea of him this time next week at least.

That second goal is quality. Pretty good set of goals he scored for them in generally actually. Nice range of them too. I wonder why they didn't rate him.

A lot of his finishes look good.  Finds the corners where our guys temd to go center of the goal looks like a quality finisher.

At the moment, barring more signings,  its sell/loan 2 from these

Toth, Pears
Cashin, Pratt
Wharton, McLoughlin
O'Riordan, Carter
Hedges, Pickering, Ribeiro, De Neve
Cantwell, Henriksson, Garrett
Tronstad, Forshaw, Tavares
Baradji, Morishita, TGH
Alebiosu, Miller
Ohashi, Jorgensen
Gudjohnsen, Kargbo

I wood assume Garrett & one of the "left wing backs"

For the poor budget we are afforded I see this comment a lot even from Val himself who would qualify as being a good champ signing up front with a proven record that’s within our budget and being a realistic option for us? I struggle to think of any
