I just watched the game and I am quite literally flabbergasted.  Not going to get into the ref just yet, it is just a given now that we will get fooked one way or another by the man in the middle.

Yet again we drop 2 points in the dying seconds if a match. It is VI.  He always pulls off the most industrious players and replaced then with lazy no good layabouts.  I don't know if it was Tavares or Baradji that simply refused to run for a pass just a few yards away near the halfway line.  Disgraceful.  It is not the first time yet VI keeps doing it.  We always go from playing at least decent if not well to barely hanging on, open spaces everywhere, players not closed down and then the sucker punch.  That Tavares, well he would never pull the shirt on again if I was manager.  We played really well.  I used to have a soft spot for Ipswich but I hate em now.  They cheat, faking injury always mouthing the ref, cynical challenges and just general shit mongers.  What a waste of a good performance.  Two game changing non decisions, it was a red and it was a pen on Ohashi.  Again BigMac wrestled to the ground and the free kicks go the other way.  VI really needs to learn how to close games out and it is not by bringing on your laziest players. Fumin here. GRRRRRR.

Any of our Statto's have info on how many points we have dropped after 90 minutes.

I acknowledged that the referee made a mistake and it was frustrating. But we went into injury time with a lead anyway and again threw it away. It doesnt surprise me to see you parrot the manager and just brush our own repeated failings under the carpet. A culture of excuses.

Parrot the manager? 🤣🤣🤣

And I dont think we threw the lead yesterday

If you are watching De Neve coming on and are not seeing how out of his depth he looks then you are seemingly watching a different player than the majority.

That's wasn't the question asked

Chat gpt said 50/50 but leaning on yellow , is that not more intelligent?

No, it’s not generative AI, it’s just an LLM, it only predicts what the most likely response to a question would be.

also, Rover are rubbish playing against 10 men, and always have been. We rarely press home any advantage from it

What did De Neve do during his cameo that was so awful?.

Was miles away from his man again as he just passed it into the far corner completely unmarked in the 94th minute of the game.

De Neve has zero awareness on what's going on around him on the football pitch, very much a kick and run player, and he's not particularly good at that.

There were also at least two occasions where he got the ball, charged off down the flank with it and lost possession because he is so poor technically that dribbling and passing accurately seem to be largely beyond him.

Don't know the exact ruling, but it would be difficult to pause the play at the moment Morishita was fouled and not conclude it was a goalscoring opportunity.

A goal scoring opportunity is a bit of a grey area, technically anywhere on the pitch is a goalscoring opportunity.

he never had the ball under control , when he went down it was bouncing above his head.

an argument that as he was so far out and ball still had to be controlled it gave Davies more than enough time to get back

plus the Ipswich player has in no way deliberately tripped him, it was a tangle of legs, I for one would be annoyed if it were the other way around, otherwise the suggestion is if you don’t want sent off you stop trying to get back, not a situation I want to see in the game.

it’s at best a 50/50, either way the ref called it there is an argument for, it’s annoying me that some folk are so adamant that it’s a certain red. It most certainly is not

My first impression on seeing the highlights was it wasn’t worth a red card.  He was too far out from goal and the cover was coming across. Having said that there will an incident exactly like that somewhere this weekend and it will be a red card.

Intent doesn’t come into it. If a player is tripped it’s a foul

Official wording is

foul if a player- carelessly, recklessly or using excessive force trips a player

not seeing it fits. Plus I’m sorry but the 2 Japanese lads go down hella easy at times

I wouldn't say it was a certain red, but I'm sure it would have been given in most cases.

I am sure, and it's undeniable, that it was a good

goalscoring opportunity.

As I said earlier, the red card more often than not you get. The penalty more often than not you don't.

But I'm more annoyed that in the last minute when defending a lead, a long ball from here....

Ends up with no-one challenging for it and being controlled by a guy with his foot in our box here....

That is non-league defending at any part of the game, let alone in that situation when we should be seeing the game out.

If they'd carved us open with a great move, or a 25 yard screamer, I wouldn’t have been as pissed off.

And then have key players out for the Sheff Wed game ?  I assume he takes players off because he knows he has to keep them relatively fresh.

Well he has to decide whether the risk injury or the risk of losing a lead is greater. I think after the events at Wrexham I’d have gone with leaving players on in favour of brining on Gueye and De Neve!

The manager's remit isn't to win games, it's to add value to the players so they can be moved on elsewhere whilst agents pick up some nice comission.
