JHRover Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago An away tie. We've got a better chance of winning away from home. Plus at Ewood the game might not start/finish and we can ill afford more postponements and embarrassment. Quote

Bronzed A Donis Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago 2nd best football day of the year, Third Round draw day. I hope we get Everton away. Quote

Mattyblue Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Everton or Tottenham away, as I doubt I’d ever see Rovers at those places otherwise. 2 Quote
Hasta Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Everton away is a good shout. New ground. Relatively local. 1 Quote
Mattyblue Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) This is what those scumbags have reduced me to, hoping for a ‘big day out’ somewhere as it’s obviously totally unrealistic to expect to move up one whole division. Edited 9 hours ago by Mattyblue 2 Quote
GHR Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Back before these bastards darkened our door we had guaranteed annual trips to Old Trafford, Anfield, Goodison, White Hart Lane, the Emirates and Eastlands. 1 Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Call me old fashioned, I want a tie we can actually win, not a day trip out to a shiny new stadium or a home tie where we'll get battered! Quote
Mattyblue Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I’d rather have a Weston Super Mare, but if it is to be a PL away game, rather those two than a ground we saw regularly (you know from when we were a top football club pre November 2010) 2 Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I think any tie against someone not in our Division has a bit of curiosity value, the easier ( on paper) the better for me. I think the worst possible ones are draws against other Championship Clubs we play routinely anyway. Particularly if you'd expect them to beat us (away at Coventry/ Boro etc) Quote

Yep. Just to clarify I would always prefer a lower league side at home and a better chance to progress. I think I'm thinking more what would be an interesting tie. If we got most premier league clubs away I'd just think FFS. But Everton do have a local, shiny new stadium that we haven't been to so, like Wrexham away this season, it comes with a lot of novelty value. 2 Quote

Elrovers Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Boring tie. Might as well give us points for the game. Quote
rovers11 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Hoping for an away game, thats my only hope. We cannot afford for another game to be called off and given the weather in Jan, thats very likely if its at Ewood. Quote
StHelensRover Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This draw was probably on a small shortlist of "anyone but them" for fans of both clubs. Same as with Boro away last season. They'll have to make it a tenner all areas of the ground or no one will bother going. Quote
bazza Posted 50 minutes ago Posted 50 minutes ago Glad it's away. Could have been worse. Could have been a banana skin. Hull are a good side and we've already beaten them away in the league. Interesting. Quote
MarkBRFC Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago Quite glad we didnt get a prem club away, couldn't be doing with the club crowing about us playing some giant when we used to play and beat them regularly before this ownership turned up. Would have liked one of the non league ones away really. 2 Quote
