I guess I was frustrated that Glen Little got so much airtime and what sounded like a PNE fan .. But I do acknowledge my general frustration about Rovers fans either not being heard or actually being dismissed /patronised/undermined..( TalkSport etc) We have had exposure on Radio Lancs, TalkSport & the Daily Mail in the last 24 hours…I’d say that was a decent effort all round TBH. Raising the profile of our case needs “little & often” activities I think to build momentum. 9 Quote

He also dropped a hint saying his team was a similar shirt just red and white. Thinking about that comment, Feyenoord immediately springs to mind. This person is clearly an ex employee who hates venkys and their cronies. We have an ex manager who left on bad terms and has Feyenoord links, or am I reading way too much into it? 🤔 Waaay too much I’d say…I love JDT but…😆 3 Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I just hope today is a great success,an important message is sent out that the fans have had enough and its the start of the end of Venkys reign of terror. Stick together. 2 Quote
Colt Seavers Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Just to hopefully add a bit of levity to this dreadful situation. I've been going on Ewood Park since 1978 (aged 7) with my dad, and my son joined us in 2008, (also aged 7) My dad is now aged 80. We discussed the pros and cons of a boycott at length yesterday. He listened intently to everything I said, asked a series of thoughtful questions, mulled it over for 20 minutes.... and then made a decision to check the weather forecast this morning! 7 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I was just reading that Rochdale have just received a grant of £250,000 towards the pitch that they have renewed over the last couple of months. No chance of us being smart enough to do stuff like that. 3 Quote

Will be boycotting along with two others. Are there any plans for the PNE game - maybe going on 15 minutes later or something else? I think a 15 minute no show and Red cards when we return to our seats. Impactful and visual Quote

This is my 57th season , this squad of players is the pits ! Never seen BRFC so devoid of talent ! We can all get behind a sh1t side, devoid of talent, if we know the clubs pulling in the right direction Waggy76. The current happenings at Ewood are by design. 4 Quote

Wasn’t going anyway as I haven’t been for probably 5-Years, but good on everyone not going, if it’s the beginning to an end then alls well that ends well. Fuck off Venkys, you are not welcome here. Empty stadium and 3 points would no doubt assist recovery. 1 Quote

Members rog of the rovers Posted 1 hour ago Members Posted 1 hour ago I am going today, though I have respect to anyone who is boycotting. I think it’s a deeply personal decision and whatever decision you choose is the right one for you. Lets all hope we can be discussing a successful on field performance along with the boycott at 5pm 6 Quote

sussexrover Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Life only normally allows me to get back up for a couple of home games a season with my girls - and its an opportunity to visit family at the same time. We'd planned in this weekend to be one of those weekends a while ago. However, we're still very much in Sussex today. will be at QPR away - but not sure when we'll get to Ewood next now. Hope today can make a difference. 2 Quote
StubbsUK Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Before I get into this post I'll spell it out because I know the first reply will probably be "Are you comparing protesting against Venkys to ending apartheid in South Africa?" No, obviously, even if Venkys might be harder to get rid of. A common retort against the protests is "They won't even know it's happened", and that always makes me think of the Dunnes Store ladies in Ireland. They started a protest against selling South African grapefruits that everyone said was useless, how can 10 ladies in Ireland not selling grapefruits end apartheid. It took a while but through a chain of events started by 1 person seeing their protest their persistence led to Ireland being the first country to ban the import and sale of all goods from South Africa which triggered others to follow suit and started an economic meltdown that helped end the regime. David Nihill covers it brilliantly. So, to those boycotting the match today, talking to the press, talking to their mates ... you don't know who is going to see it, you don't know who they are going to tell and you don't know who's going to be our Nimrod. 7 1 Quote

Rover_in_the_South Posted 53 minutes ago Posted 53 minutes ago (edited) I always thought that the only way to get rid of these owners was with people power and voting with a few no shows, let's hope today gains that traction. I also hope it would still be happening if we were having a half decent season as nothing is going to change until this cancer is gone! Edited 53 minutes ago by Rover_in_the_South Quote

Elrovers Posted 36 minutes ago Posted 36 minutes ago You could say I’m part of the newer generation. First game was against Arsenal back in 2010 I think it was. What a win that was. Since then I’ve been a season ticket holder. All I wanted to see was rovers win matches and be successful like we were in the 1990s and so on. My mum would always tell me about rovers back then and how good they were and possibly the best team in England. It’s hard to miss a game as I am young and still have that fiery emotion inside of me. But I have made the decision to boycott today and not renew my season ticket for next season until venkys and co have gone. 6 Quote
davulsukur Posted 31 minutes ago Posted 31 minutes ago Desperately hoping this is the first step in ridding ourselves of this ownership. It's been 15 years, quite frankly we've been incredibly patient but it feels we are definitely at a point of no return with Venkys. They're done, there is no getting the fans back on side, our relationship, not just with them but with the whole hierarchy is fractured beyond repair. Rovers is our club, not theirs. It's time to take it back. As final note, if this boycott isn't as successful as hoped (in terms of empty seats) we can't be too down hearted, it's just the first step and the longer this ownership keeps dragging us down, the more people will follow with action. 2 Quote

simongarnerisgod Posted 16 minutes ago Posted 16 minutes ago i just want rovers to be well run, like they used to be,promotion is a bonus but it would`nt matter to me if we were as skint as we were in the 80`s just as long as those running the club were doing it for the benefit of blackburn rovers.thats not been the case for the last 15 years Quote

Given our Championship status we wouldn't qualify for many of the stadium and facilities grants on offer. Give it a few years though ... Quote
