Just seen that Hedges is out for 4 months which is essentially the rest of the season.

Sort of game, like Milwall where we will get something I think just to keep our heads above water.

1-0 Rovers or 1-1.

If that's true, he may well have played his last game for us

val is either pushing them to far in training or our medical dept is imcompetent or lacking in personel to come up with a fitness plan for each player

Couldn’t it be all three?

I remember going to the Millwall game at Ewood, a few seasons ago, called off half an hour before kick off.

I think that was a snowstorm but might be wrong !

gutted for Hedges. Been good this season

Agree, however, I'm more gutted for our chances of survival

Will be interesting to see if Pickering/Ribeiro is played out of position at left wing back, if they revert to a back 4, without many options to play on the wing, or if an actual wing back (Powell) comes into the side, the Powell option being my personal preference, but also the least likely to happen as he has not been tried at all as of yet

* Surely we wont make the mistake of playing De Neve again?

Hedges is always prone to lengthy injury lay offs.

Just more poor planning by the club to rely on Hedges, Wharton & Carter for any length of time.

Could be the last we've seen of Hedges in a Rovers shirt.

Probably not worth registering him in the 25 either.

Hedges has been one oy our best players this season. Always gives 100% and against Wrexham was injured due to him not backing out from a tackle, nothing to do with training and injuries that appear to be the result of Vals inability.

If anything the Ewood pitch or the mismanagement  image.png.f21570376230727a1ba3afc5fe2cd41a.png(£s) of the pitch should take some blame.

If tomorrow's game goes ahead it will be rock-hard in places. No wonder Val wants a proper playing surface rather than spend £2-3m in transfer market.

I can't imagine its in any danger of not going ahead.

Plus a horrible squad planning, where Val&Gestede, for instance, sold the ever-reliable Hyam and kept our well-known injury-ridden players, and mixed them with sub-standard players from the lower leagues in Europe. It was bound to end in disaster, and the only question, then and now, is whether we can stay up this season.

                        Toth

       O'Riordan McLoughlin Pratt

                     Tronstad

Miller Baradji Gardner-Hickman Pickering

                     Cantwell

                      Ohashi

Must be something like this and pray we don't need any subs ever.

Charlie Olsen, central Defender, just recalled from Oldham Athletic in League Two. May get a spot on the bench.

Disagree on that one.  Charlton were very good at their place earlier this season and absolutely overwhelmed us with the high pressure, high intense and physical football.  This would be a tough one with a fully fit squad.

With the lack of any clear reinforcements I fear we are increasingly close to playing some daft, daft football.

Play a very flat back 4 of McLoughlin, Pratt, Riordan and Miller.  A 3 of Tronstad, Baradji and Cantwell.  Then pick your poison up front with De Neve, Kargbo, a kid, Ohashi, Gudjohnsen, Morashita or Henriksson depending how much you want to play on the counter/play a pressing game.

Ugly, uninspired, may nick a point a game average.

Excuses in in advance, you sound like our manager!

You are correct, due to the fact that our squad is abysmal. Who's to blame for that?

I'll bet Ismael is thinking Morishita, Gudjonson and Ohashi up front would be nice.

I think the pitch will be a factor (not that it should be used as an excuse for us –as has been pointed out, we all know the nonsense that has led us to where we are). But I think we do struggle on a difficult surface. I thought Wrexham were fitter, stronger and more coherent as a team and dealt with bobbly pitch far better than us. They looked like a side that had worked hard to get where they are and had self-belief.

I also think (again shouldn’t be used as an excuse) that we don’t deal well with high pressure, high intensity, physical football.

If you link that with some dreadful body language and players knowing they are going to be sold or want away from a train wreck, then the ingredients aren’t great for success.

Cue a win tomorrow. 🙂

I'd go for the latter two.
