Spin….

Just what our injury hit squad needed today- 120 mins and then pens.

Good day out, that 🫠.

When the results aren't there they will turn to other 'metrics' of performance hence reference to average age and academy appearances.

Of course the reason why is the negligent and unacceptable approach to squad building in recent years, but they'll paint it as part of the project and suggest it shows it is working.

We’d have more experience if you know you didn’t decide to sell them all, get rid of all the experience then play the “we’ve got a young side” nonsense, nothing against the youth players who played as it ain’t their fault.

Said this several times before but today summed it up more than ever, as did the Sheff Weds game, too much emphasis in the 'press tactics' and not enough on the creative football.

Obvious why we are collecting knocks and niggles like a shopaholic collects clubcard points.

Out of steam after 35 mins every game, knackered in the second half, players dropping on 70 mins, raft of subs and they all do the same things as the ones gone off.

He needs to start getting far more tactically astute we still have out best football countering or playing between the lines.  This defending relentlessly from the front is good if you are playing very dangerous sides and you need to jump on them but it creates nothing and as teams suss it out second half of the season it will be way too dangerous.

Also on the creative/goalscoring side of things we are seeing exactly what paying seniors £5k a week and throwing in rookies gets you.

Can't even score penalities.

What a horrendous game if fiotball.  To be honest I am glad we did not progress too many injuries now and a relegation nattle tondeal with.  Funny init the two 1st teamers miss and the toung lads take sweet confident oenalties.  I knew Baradjinwould miss cos he is too lazy to try something crafty.  Toth was gazumped ny two straight down the middle. Not criticizing just saying, he didnoull off a couple if saves Injust can't imagine Ainsley getting anywhere near  Another pathetic ref.  Anyway not fussed we are out until Hull get a peach if a tie.

We are showing over a prolonged period now that we cannot score goals and we cannot win matches.

Feeling confident of survival, anyone?!

Unless we sign 2 new strikers and 2 new wingbacks, our lack of goals and all round abysmal attack will see us down for sure.

The positive I derive from the game is the game time the academy players enjoyed. The defensive ones all look good together with Montgomery, the attacking ones are definitely not “oven ready”. Not playing Tyjon smacks of “cutting your nose off to spite your face”, absolutely crazy. He must have upset Gestede like Leonard allegedly did. Child like behaviour from Gestede at best, what a baby.

"The only one with an injury is Kristi with his shoulder, I think it doesn't look good, I know this type of injury," Ismael conceded.

"Nathan was cramp, Dion was cramped as well. I think the numbers the players put on the pitch, I was expecting that for them, so at least they played that limit.

"It was just the case, how long we can push with them to give them more minutes, but you see Nathan got cramp, the intensity was really high on the pitch.

"Some of the players didn't play a lot, that's why they were tired quickly."

Connor O'Riordan also went off due to fatigue but there was no injury concern. Igor Tyjon was ready to come on for extra time but didn't because of that late change.

"I actually wanted him (Tyjon) to come on in the extra time, but Conor gave a sign that he was tired and he had some cramps.

"I had to put Pratty on the pitch, it was unlucky for him, he was ready to go in.

"Connor made it clear he can go further, so I didn't want him to take any risk. It was cramp, he was really fatigued, he said I'm really tired, this is what I say to my players, if you're tired, you go out to be ready for the next game."

Credit to all the lads who have made their debuts this season who played today. They worked hard and held their own. But it was a dire, dire game with no quality.

Forgot to mention that some of these players are miles off the required standard. We were so poor and struggled to even put a few passes together. Not that it's the players' fault, but still. We played an average team from the same league, not the Champions league winners.

I’m not too bothered about today’s result as we have more pressing issues, like staying in the Championship. I thought the young lads gave their best and most came out with quite a bit of credit. The one thing that I didn’t want to see today was Yuki anywhere near the football pitch, indeed anywhere near Hull. The lad desperately needs a break and madness not to give him the opportunity today. To cap it all, he couldn’t even convert a spot kick and so his already low confidence will have no doubt taken a further hammer blow.

Sell all the experience so you have to cobble a squad together that can barely compete in the second division and they crow about it.

To say it doesn't look good without even xray or scan sounds bad news.  Don't think we'll see the lad before March.

Watched the game only spasmodically, it was pure garbage from what I saw.

Penalties are a test of skill and nerve, NOT A LOTTERY, and clearly better than the toss of a coin to decide the winner which was used many years ago!  We failed to deliver yet again when it mattered.

Ipswich will be rubbing their hands next Saturday.

The worry is that the weakened side is becoming indistinguishable from the not weakened side.

The main similarity is that we have zero attacking threat no matter what combination we put out currently.

Whoever would have thought that going into the season with just 2 strikers, one might get injured?

Must admit I have found the Gardner-Hickman loan one of the more baffling pieces of business in the last 12 months. The lad is shite.

Hope to God that the option to buy isn't exercised. He's talentless. I just don't know how two clubs have apparently paid fees of at least £1m to sign him.

We’ve got the worst of both worlds in that we don’t create anything and even if we did, there’s nobody to finish the chances off. It’s so grim.

We put all our eggs in the Gudjohnsen box as to be fair, he can finish.

Baradji never looks bothered or interested. Not the sort of player you want in a relegation scrap.
