I think it was a good save to get to it with his leg. He needs to make sure to cover the near post. Toth did have some other shaky moments though.

I wouldnt blame him for the second, but for the first I thought he should have been saving the shot that hit the post that bounced back into play.

Who decided that Morishita should be our main target this summer, and that Baradji is a really special player?

We are in deep trouble, and even if I flirted with the idea of Rovers being a bit more adventurous in the search for the next manager, I, for a short while, misled myself into believing we could survive with just a bit more passion and energy.

We need a no-nonsense, experienced firefighter coming in, and among those who would consider us, Rowett is probably the best option.

I bet if you dissect every goal we’ve conceded (and scored) there is an error somewhere that is the major contributing factor. Be it a pass, positioning, decision, etc. I just don’t buy we’re unlucky. We’re badly organised, weak and make poor decisions (on and off the pitch). That’s why we’ve lost so many games not luck

No one cares about Derby, why do people have an obsession on here with them 🤷🏻‍♂️

Couldn't agree more, we look like we're going down and people are crowing about Derby (who are 13 points above us) losing a game!

It's beyond weird.

Also Travis would be the absolute first name on our team sheet were he still here with the absolute shower of shite we have in our midfield - and I include Tronstad in that, he might as well fuck off back home now as his heart clearly isn't in it.

Spot on...leaderless from top to bottom ....infighting among players started

I think the players that have enough quality are: Toth, Alebiosu, Carter, Cashin, Tronstad, Gudjohnsen, plus Warton.  Maybe Cantwell.

Too early for the two new forwards and I've left out the kids.

The rest.

Absolutely, it's like the default setting for some , restart their phone and it comes back on with the Derby County home page.

The Tronstad obsession coming in there.  Won us the game on Tuesday.

This squad is absolutely wretched.

Sinking without trace.

Who at the club is accountable?

Gestede? He thinks he is gods gift to football.

Owen? Can’t believe his luck, wants to get his pal Chris a job

Pasha? Balance sheet looks good, nothing to see here Balaji and Madamme

That option for Baradji doesnt look as tittilating as it did at first does it?

Very strange player - looks like there's a decent player hiding in there somewhere but he isnt let out very often.

Id still have him over Cantwell at the moment though. The last time I can recall one of our midfielders showing a bit of fight was Montgomery before he got injured.

Not getting into a Tronstad debate but what absolute bollux.

What with the solitary goal of the game and the clearance off the line?

Oh hang on, that would have been Cashin and Jorgensson.

I struggle with all this talk of luck. Take the Alebiousu slip; O’Riordan wins the header and there is no goal. But what happens is O’Riordan loses loses out, Alebiousu is wrong footed and therefore slips due to pushing off against the turf. Their player making the run to tap it in, that’s not luck. Luck is a cop out. Reality is we are the main contributing factor to the goals we concede

Luck and poor referee decisions more or less balance out over the course of the season. It’s how you take advantages of the opportunities when they happen. Take today’s goal, had that same thing happened for us we likely wouldn’t have had the player in position to tap it in. “You make your own luck” isn’t that what they say?

This weird Tronstad rabbit hole. Regularly randomly mention him then say you arent getting into a debate.

Again today, one of our few good players and one that clearly was putting in 100%.

Alright if you must, debate away.

Did the square root of eff all today either offensively or defensively. As is generally the case. Just coasts through games doing next to nothing. Granted not the worst player on the pitch by any means and our options are so limited there's no one any better to come in.

Not what we need in our current situation though either.

They have to try something different at QPR. There are no goals in that system with these players.

We can't start another game with just Ohashi up front.

Might as well not bother turning up.

1. Baradji better when he comes on a a sub. Don't know why he bothered getting of the coach today.

2. Both Morishita & (more so) Ohashi go over far to easy in hope of claiming a free kick. Ohashi needs someone to instruct him to how to play. Bench him next week.

3. Had enough of Cantwell's play-acting. Not worthy to be captain and thankfully will miss next two games.

4. Alebiosu might be edging towards a £5m player but he's been on his arse today and recent games that have cost us. Get someone to look at your stubs.

5. DJ is too lack luster for a manager and today that attitude spread through the team.

6. We need a robust manager to make these players earn their shirt. I haven't seen any in the running yet.

7. Looking ahead to summer transfer window, as much as I'd like Gestede, Pasha & even venkys (note always use small v) to be long gone, we need a commanding capitain. Not someone who spends time adjusting his socks and bandages but someone who can influence the team that we can build around.

Looked comfortable enough until they scored although as usual nothing up top.

Thought it was right to tighten things up but wrong to be using Ohashi as the focal point of attacks especially hitting crosses at him, brain dead tactic. We continue to suffer from rotten summer recruitment based on running stats and potential value increases.

That's the top and bottom of it regardless of who is in the dugout which brings me to the subs.

Again it's clear Owen and Gestede are driving these squad and team selection with yet again mins for players and increasing value the driving factor for those on the touchline.

Who will actually work under that is going to be the defining factor, this model nearly relegated us before and it will this season if not then next unless there is a change of plan.

I.E remove Owen (agency) and Gestede (links) and Suhail (agency) all more bothered about the players sale prospects and bringing the next lot in.

Until that changes NOTHING will.

Give me a workhorse Travis every single day of that lame Duck Baradji, yes more football ability in one foot but strolls around like he only has one and certainly no football brain. A continental luxury all wrong for a Champ relegation fight.

Mori and Yuki should be squad men and having foisted an alleged 5/6 million on Andre and Jorg it really is time to be getting something back from them. That means setting up the team for them not the two water carriers up top.

Deserved something today imo but undone but the exact same shite that has plagued all season.

As for Totth leave him out of the firing line he was the very least of the problems today he isn't superman.

Much as Im a fan of his in general, very poor from Johnson today.

Incredibly negative starting line up and reactive rather than proactive with his substitutions.

Could do with the new man in asap now I think but whoever is in charge has some very tough decisions to make.

Personally I wouldn't bother with Cantwell, Moreshita and Ohashi for the rest of the season unless we are literally struggling to get eleven bodies out on the pitch. There's zero fight in that midfield between Cantwell/Baradji and Tronstad either.

Defensively we fell to pieces after Carter went off and Toth's gone back to what he looked like when he first came in. Incredibly shaky.

All very worrying.

Think we need a really strong character in now to give them a right rocket up their collective arses and insist that if we go down, at least we go down fighting.

Just seen his post match interview.

Dour and totally uninspiring.

This can't go on any longer.

Imagine if it had been Pears who had parried that shot back into the centre of goal for a tap in.

(And yes, I know there are more pressing issues.)

I don't think Toth had one of his better games for us today, but what you're referring to there was a good save with his foot/leg.

Not much you can do as a GK to control where that rebounds to.

You can argue that the defence should have been switched on - or, for that matter, prevented the initial shot from happening in the first place.

Nothing wrong with straightening up after beating your man and forcing your way in to the box, a number of times today that was the better option.

He's not a winger which is where he played today.

We know that none of our strikers can play up front on their own, how the coaching staff can’t see that is a mystery. They’re just not enough of a threat. Whatever system we play in it must incorporate two strikers. Take your pick of the two but Ohashi and Gudjohnsen seemed to worked together quite well previously.

in midfield we can’t play Cantwell, Baradji and Morishita in the same team. It’s obvious. If we’re playing 4 at the back we need Tronstad and one of Forshaw, Montgomery or Hickman along side him.
