I only ever took four and was a striker at the time. Missed 3. No wonder it took the wife so long to get pregnant 🤣

I was only about 9 at the time. I’d just got my first shirt with shearer on and he was a god to me. I was devastated when he left . I didn’t u derstand anything back then other than my hero had gone to some team that wasn’t as good as us as we were the champions. The first time I saw him live was at ewood in a Newcastle shirt scoring a brace and goading the booing home fans. I booed him every touch after he scored. As an adult with more understanding of what Newcastle meant to him, money and how life works etc I just look back on him worth the fondest of memories and a huge part of my childhood and will be eternally grateful for what he did for the club and the impact he had on me as a footballer and football fan and how he made me fall in love with the rovers when all around me wore red. I hate the fact I booed him but can claim some level of ignorance. Now he has retired he’s back to god status in my house

v Sheffield Utd (a) - 23/2/22 - Match Preview

Yeah I agree. Khadra a good player but when a game swings this way dolans the better of the two and should be replaced -
Always was a terrible over rated player. Offered nothing and was anonymous in nearly every game. I was delighted when he left as he was a massive part of the problem at rovers at the time. I could never fathom what anyone saw in him and why people thought he was good enough to anchor our midfield

From dolans last two cameos he deserves a start for me. Brings a much needed energy and drive and has been excellent when coming on as a substitute in his last two games. Freshen things up a bit and gets in on merit sends a message to the others -

A lot of people picking lenihan in the team. Won’t he be suspended ? -
Where will we finish?

I think we will sadly fall short. If we do manage to stay in the top 6 I think we could best anyone over three games, I’d be slightly worried about forest should we meet them but I dare to dream COYB -
January Transfer Deadline Day 2022

Strange as he never gets a game and must be right down the pecking order with wood joining . Although apart from Joelinton who can’t find the net for love nor money I don’t know who they have as back up strikers -

I’m sure the richest club in the world would of subsidised some of his wages. 20 grand a week until the end of the season would of got us a few points already. He plays and we get three at Swansea for a start -

dunny. wasnt matt derbyshire a home grown lad -
Would people still want mowbray if we lost on penalties in the final ? I personally think he deserves full backing until the end of the season and then should leave with his head held high if we go up or fail to make the play offs regardless. He isn't equipped to handle big budgets and hasn't got the ruthless drive ( i.e. his infuriating comments last week about we were never playing for second etc (paraphrased) necessary to compete and keep us up. Up or staying in the championship its time for a fresh approach, fresh ideas and a different feel amongst the crowd. Another year in the champ without key players and mowbray in charge is a hard sell to floating fans

last time i checked this game had been moved to a 12.30 kick off on sky. I checked again and it says back to three and fulham are on sky. Can someone clear up whats happening against millwall Saturday for me please -
There is absolutely no club in the country better for ash Phillips right now than the mighty rovers . There is nowhere who will get him playing first team football regularly as quick in a high standard team and league . You only have to look at the number of academy graduates we already have playing in our first team. He, his parents and agent must see this is the place for him to develop before potentially a big move. The amount of good players who stagnate and get lost in big academy’s is alarming. Top players playing u23 football into there 20s . This lad will make his first team debut in a blue n white shirt next season at some point. If he’s as good as he’s supposed to be the big money move and massive contract will come a lot quicker playing here than a potential pay rise now and years in a youth set up at one of the bigger clubs
