  1. I disagree. Up until 18 months ago, our whole squad - from juniors through U23s through to the first team - played a completely different style of footlball. The fact that they've learnt to play tippy-tappy since Tomasson arrived, proves that they are adaptable to different styles to some degree of success.
  2. Similar John Robertson at Forest. What a player he was.
  3. When we play well, it's nice to watch admittedly. When we don't play so well, I find the style frustrating to say the least, with the tippy tappying around the back and the continual 10 yard passing to nowhere. Tomasson is doing an amazing job though, all things considered, But he's not beyond criticism, and for me the biggest one is his insistence on playing the 'style' no matter what. Sometimes, for example when you're on an atrocious home run, you have to be a tad more pragmatic and look to grind out a draw or two. It's sh!t or bust with Tomasson.
  4. This was the first Premier League game I've seen this season. I lasted until half time; it was devoid of any excitement or entertainment, bar the comedy of tippy-tappy errors which led to the Wolves goal. An advert for 'The Best League In The World' it was not. On that evidence, Burnley may pick up a few points here and there, but on the whole they're punchless. Wolves weren't much better.
  5. Any ambitious club at our level or higher would have Tomasson on their wish list. I would not be surprised if there were murmurings of Sunderland being interested.
  6. That's laughable. Whatever the reason is as to why we signed him on a 4 year deal, I'd love to know.
  7. It sums him up to a tee. Charging £30 vs £28 for Leeds fans, gains him what, 7,000 x £2 so the grand total of £14k extra. Far easier to milk the away fans for an extra couple of quid, rather than try to shift a few more STs and give a toss about his own fans.....
  8. None of this can be true. It's the 'best league in the world', after all....
  9. Surely we could have got someone on a free - from the lower leagues, abroad, an out of contract - at least someone who isn't a crock or seemingly straight off Pleasington. As it stands, they're both a waste of time, as evidenced by Tomasson's refusal to play them.
  10. Up until now at least, both Ennis and Telalovic have been an utter waste of time, money and effort. We needed players who could slot straight in. We got the opposite.
  11. I for one don't want to watch it every week. In fact, I have no interest in it whatsoever.
  12. They looked a top drawer side when they gave us the runaround whilst in first gear
  13. I think the corner drills are all about maintaining possesion. As you say, the trouble is - and we saw this a couple of times last night - is that we end up with 3 players around the ball near the corner flag, we go and lose it, the opposition breaks quickly, and we're caught on the hop with said players out of position.
  14. That was a cracking game of football which neither side deserved to lose. The simple fact of the matter is that we have a paper thin squad. That's what's lets us down.
  15. As with any successful professional in any walk of like, if an offer comes in from elsewhere that he feels will enhance his career, he'll be off. This won't be too far into the future and he won't be struggling for options.
  16. Could you get a Now TV subscription for the day? That's what I do for away games that aren't on the red button/RoversTV (in the UK). £11.98
  17. They'd all probably say that about each other. Anyway, it's just my opinion on Tronsadt, being the no-nowt punter that I am.
