  1. Read that it takes over 20 years on the waiting list to be able to buy a Liverpool season ticket. Manure's wait list is 100,000! Quite a challenge for Venkys!
  2. Brilliant! Says it all , Literally falling apart.
  3. For goodness sake, it doesn't matter how much money you put in if it isn't spent wisely and you don't take responsibility for it? In the current situation they could put any amount in but it would be wasted like the rest has been. In any case most of the money they put in is to settle debt or rather interest on debt their practices created. Most of it is about accounting not football and merely has the effect of enabling the club to stumble form one crisis to the next.
  4. We did till Venkys turned up and more. We had 19000+ after were relegated the first time. When Venkys took over we had healthy crowds of around 25000 with all the pies, parking fees and programmes and beer that that involves. But the club had the sense to charge cheap entrance then and it worked.
  5. One of the poorest towns in Britain. You want people to spend what they haven't got? We're not Chelsea you know.
  6. You think we'll see it one day then? Not so confident myself.
  7. 1) Why would it? Armstrong money wasn't. 2)And would have been wasted anyway.
  8. One of the saddest things about Venky's reign is that they have divided the fan base. Personally I cannot stomach the notion that a group of aliens and walk into our club, steadily dismantle everything Jack did for us and we should simply take it and carry on as if nothing an happened. You're asking people to be complicit in the destruction of something we love. If we had gates of 20000+ what would they do with it? We know don't we?--- because they've already done it! Why give them more to cannibalise?
  9. I'm told by someone who should know, that Nyambe's agent is asking for the club to double his wages. I'm guessing he is not on a lot so double is not excessive. Given we lose him for nothing this situation seems ridiculous.
  10. Sadly, yes he was. Been a regular since early 50's. So much to be proud of.
  11. I've forgotten obviously but I didn't realise the crowd was so huge. I thought the standard of play surprisingly high, especially given the state of the pitch.
  12. but he thinks he should be sacked!
  13. You need a wall and an understanding neighbour!
  14. Yes, I was at that game too. Special train---so full we had to travel in the guards van reclining on sacks of stuff and parcels! Clear penalty as well.
  15. What about that attempted back pass from Rashford? Wtf was he thinking? "I want a transfer'?
  16. Let's hope its not McGloire!
  17. The strangest story in Rover's history!
  18. Exactly! Why does he always go for the ones we like?!! It'll be Dolan's turn next!
  19. i prefer the "Magical Mystery Tour"!! (guess its an age thing!)
  20. Actually I have to say Gallagher is shaping up a lot more this season. Perhaps with Armstrong gone he is more likely to get into scoring positions. He's scored 5 goals this season and doesn't take the penalties. He and Ben are doing what they were bought for at last. Still taken too long, still paid far too much for them and all the rest! But.....
  21. Raya already is! How much did we get again? And its not like plenty people didn't say so at the time either. No hindsight involved!
  22. They were good loyal servants for sure but Duggie (as I've always spelt it!) was truly world class. You had to be there to believe it. Even then you didn't believe what you'd just seen!
