  1. Past hour
  2. yes. Excusing it rather than dealing with it.
  3. and neither did I!!! "If I get the impression that the likes of you and @roversfan99are NOT in a minority of folk disliking these types of post then I will simply stop posting". As you seem to have difficulty understanding, let me clarify - if it was clear there was a big number of posters (ie "NOT in a minority") who disliked or rubbished my postings then I would simply stop posting. I do not need the aggravation and I only post in good faith and try to make a contribution to this MB community.
  4. It takes cutthroat interested executives with a reasonable level of autonomy to see through it and do something. Something Venky’s wouldn’t even want present at the club.
  5. The problem we have here is that Gestede, Owen, Ismael and maybe even Pasha (although I suspect he's chucking the rest under the bus right now) are all in it together. The appointment of the Ismael himself, the dross we've signed, the shocking performances all down to these clowns collectively. They won't be in any hurry to bin Ismael off, or sell any of the poor signings in desperate hope it all clicks and we suddenly start winning games. It's a collective failure and they're coming up with all the excuses as to why it's not working.
  6. Not really sure how I'm being a "wetwipe", I'm not the one saying I'll only post stuff if everyone tells me they like it. If you like the dance, then great, enjoy.
  7. So what does Adam Owen actually do? What is the function of a "technical director"? This appears to be a non-job to me, but one for which I'm sure he's well paid Clubs used to be a simple. There was a manager, who managed the team (obviously), a trainer, and a secretary. They had one of two assistants, but that was about it. Now I'm told (usually by Chaddy) the game has changed and the we have to have "directors of coaching", "technical directors", "heads of recruitment", specialist coaches for forwards, defenders, goalkeepers, free kicks, corners and throw-ins, a huge number of people at great expense who, it seems to me, add no value whatsoever
  8. Peggy Lee - It’s A Good Day
  9. We can neither create nor score goals atm - this lad would give you both.
  10. The Walkers sold out at exactly wrong time. Money coming into the Premier League was about to explode, and we were one of the clubs riding the gravy train. They prided themselves on being business people but they got it badly wrong
  11. Thank you very much 🙏
  12. Today
  13. Looks like Powell has jumped ahead of him, but you would think that Batty would be made for the wing back position from what I have seen of him in the past. Another that surely has to be a better option than De Neve.
  14. Peters and Lee - Welcome Home
  15. Still maintain we might get a result tonight just to give us that breather as that what has seemed to happen so far this season, before then going on lose our next few.
  16. Biancheri is on Uniques books, so can see it being him. The other interesting one is Charlie Gray from city (on Uniques books but is a defensive midfielder).
  17. We are in a relegation fight, one I expect we will lose. I don't want to be guaranteeing anybody game time unless they're already the real deal at this level.
  18. Friedel (USA) Berg (NOR) Samba (CON) Nelsen (NZ) Olsson (SWE) Emerton (AUS) Tugay (TUR) Nzonzi (FRA) Duff (ROI) McCarthy (SA) Santa Cruz (PAR) I chose this because I feel like it’s the best available players in each position, given the restrictions. Some are undeniable (Friedel), some are debatable (Pedersen vs Duff, Olsson vs Givet) where nationality then restricts others (Pedersen vs Berg? Nzonzi vs Givet?), and some are made obvious by lack of alternative (Emerton is the only quality foreign player I can recall who was a suitable RW). A really interesting one, great idea. Edit: Occurred to me that I could pull Emerton back slightly and turn that into a back five and give Duff more room to roam behind the strikers.
  19. My only, very wishful thinking, is that the sale is contingent on us being a championship club so there might be a moderate amount of investment to try and keep us up
  20. Personally think there's an excuse creation culture. There's players being counted in the list that wouldn't be back in the first team squad, but if we mention they've got a knock then it makes us sound worse off.
  21. To be honest, I don't suspect it is true in reality. Even if Owen did decide Ismael wasn't right for the job (I have no evidence whatsoever that this is the case), do you really think he'd get it past RG and more importantly, SS? AO won't have any direct comms with the owners, and I'm pretty sure SS wouldn't be wanting to approach the owners to tell them the manager they selected is a failure. There was lots of chatter last April that there was a clause in VI's contract that it could be terminated within something like... 5 or 6 months. I remember Glen Mullan banging that drum quite incessantly. Is it beyond the realms of possibility that other clauses could have been inserted to protect the club from paying more or less full compensation? I know lots of people will say, this is Suhail you're talking about, but if nothing else, he doesn't like parting with his bosses money. I can't imagine VI would have held much negotiating power given his pretty abject managerial record.
  22. Cashin is here because Brighton are paying most of his wages that is the defining factor nothing else.
  23. Few interviews this week about the boycott. We wont really know until the day how well it has gone. Please keep spreading the word.
  24. Would more people who aren't boycotting be open to using the PNE game to not go to there seats until the 15th Minute game is live on sky
