  2. Are you Russell Martin in disguise? 😉
  3. Chris Coleman being mentioned. NO!!!!!
  4. Checked an hour ago and about 25 tx still available
  5. I'd be more than happy with Savage. Has a great record so far and will certainly bring a lot of media attention
  6. If we're going French I'd do Pascal Dupraz, the French Big Sam
  7. The higher the official attendance against Wednesday the better for me - it weakens any argument that the boycott v Watford flopped.
  8. Attendance was on tickets sold, as always. Not sure why it's always a debate, of course there wasn't over 12k in the ground. Remember every ticket was free from the original game, so it's not inconceivable that there would have been over 12 for that fixture, with a decent away following.
  9. I meant that at best Still's record is solid (at one Club) rather than being outstanding. Im looking at his overall record and wondering what the attraction is at all tbh. He appears to have had one very good spell for 9 games in Ligue 2. Then he's moved up to Ligue 1 and finished at his first Club with 2 wins in 14. At his second Club he took over an outfit in that had finished 7th the previous season and left them in 8th. Inconclusive at best and he's only had one crack in English football,co-incidentally in the same division as us, (the Championship)and been an absolute disaster with a better squad than ours. You wouldnt look at him twice if he was English born and bred and not Belgian with a Coaching background in France. Your argument would hold water if he'd previously held several jobs in England and been very successful in general but bombed at Southampton. Some manager's faces dont fit at certain Clubs. There was however obviously something about his personality or methods that didn't translate to English football at Southampton. It might not all have been his fault but it would be insanely reckless for us to take a punt on him again straight away before he's shown he can operate over here.
  10. He can bring the brains in.
  11. Harsh on Kargbo he's been out injured so hasn't been able to find form/fitness, potentially ousting the last link to Gueye as I know they were quite close.

  14. We were all well into this band when we were 16/17. Just listening to this again recently and it's an absolute fucking belter.
  15. Yes Ohashi has one truly outstanding ability and that is to relentlessly press. To use him for anything else is a waste. We need to get a decent attacking setup without him and use him to close out games.
  16. Savage has the passion, not sure about the brains!
  17. No, it isn't solid. It's pretty dumb, to be honest. He's had several years of being very successful at several clubs - a couple of whom play at a higher standard than we do. He had one very brief spell with a recently relegated side (who had just come off being arguably the worst side in Premier League history), had no input into their squad, and struggled slighty. Even then, it was mostly draws. What's more, he's shown himself to be very capable of getting smaller sides to compete at a higher level, something that we are in desperate need of. So, if you want to judge a manager because they have one failure on their resume, or because England is all that matters, then by all means go ahead. But as a club currently sitting towards the bottom of the Championship, I think you will quickly run out of suitable candidates if you apply that kind of filter. Jose Mourinho isn't turning up. Then again, Mourinha has had a couple of bad spells at clubs, including in England, so I guess we wouldn't want him anyway.

  19. Because he's from Blackburn and he used to play for Stanley. They love a lazy local connection.
  20. If I was running another Club apart from Leicester I dont give a flying one about them but I'll do anything I can for my Club So if my Club goes down because the EFL haven't deducted Leicester the maximum number of points possible for what I perceive to be flagrant and repeated breaches of FFP Id like to think Id be sueing the arse off the EFL. Similarly If Im running Leicester I'll do everything I possibly can to avoid relegation. Therefore I'll argue that the imposition of the maximum deduction is overly harsh if that's what sends us down. Or if a lesser deduction still sends us down I'll argue that the sporting integrity of the competition has been skewed because we played the last four games thinking at the time we only needed three points to stay up as opposed to the nine we with hindsight needed due to a six point deduction imposed after the season finished. Don't think you can blame any Club if they were to appeal in those sort of circumstances. The EFL should have sorted it earlier and maybe there should be a rule that points deductions can't be imposed later than a certain date in the early part of any season.

  23. I think there’s a bit of something there. Tidy finish V Swansea and some lovely footwork to create a chance later on. He needs to do a lot more but his block last night was worth 2 points
  24. It’s not Goulon, nor Dahlin or Varner. No clue who it is but imagine someone just doing a promo for something
  25. I'm not sure how clubs can sue the authorities over things like points deductions etc. The authorities make the rules, if they are broken then you face the punishment. The whole thing is a complete joke. No wonder myself and many others simply don't give a fuck anymore.
  26. The way the EFL hand down the points deductions is completely opaque. Justice should be seen to be done but it is clear it administers the "punishment" at a time that minimises the possibility of the EFL being sued by the offending club.
  27. No nonsense from the players especially the prima donnas
