Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
RoversClitheroe replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Barnsley fans say the same. He also doesn't like passing through midfield. Anyway he lay his bed he can lie in it, one of the worst managers I've seen - he's nearing Kean levels for me. -
A few days late but my favourite one so far: No no dear, she’s kicked the BOUQUET! RIP Dame Patricia Routledge

2025-26 Relegation thread
TimmyJimmy replied to BRFC4EVA's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Changing leagues always requires a change of playing staff. There's only one profession that benefits from that. If we were a club run by agents (we're not of course) then things would begin to make sense. Agents won't have the money to buy a club outright, if it were legal they'd need rich friends to do the doing. This isn't the case at our club, thank goodness. People with such baseless speculation would be fantasising next about money laundering via transfer dealings. Grow up! Everythings normal here. Move on. -
I don't think we will be relegated.

The deliberately engineered relegation is my view. I felt the same in 2012-13, when every decision looked fashioned to deliver that very outcome. I felt the same in the Coyle season, but it was as if there was a change of plan later on. ..Another kind of fresh start! What I don't understand is why, who gains and how... The powers that be have obviously decided they can get away with it, that any protests will be limp etc.. I think the stuff with the LT just shows how unfit Gestede and Suhail are. They should not be anywhere near this club. But , in the end, even these horrible sores are mere symptoms of our toxic, Indian disease. -

Probably should get easily beaten but this is the Championship where any result is possible at any time. I was really heartened to see how hard the team fought second half against Stoke. Made me a bit more positive. - Today

Forest went from Nuno, who had a system built on a solid defence and being happy for your opponents to have the ball, to Ange and his often suicidal football. Little wonder the players look confused out there.
-
Forest have an owner who is a complete control freak and interferes relentlessly, ours don’t give a damn, and never show up to watch their team. Something in between is about right.

scared by this game, the only victory we`ll get is if val and lampard come to blows, val would spark the smug **** out easily🙂 -
As you'd fully expect, Forest look laughably suspect at the back now Ange has been in charge for a few games. No idea what Forest were thinking with that move.

Rovers now remind me so much of Coventry City....when they were on the slide years ago. Bogey team at the best of times and we rarely come out of international breaks without the handbrake still on. Cov 3 Rovers 0 But we live in hope. -

I have been to Coventry about 6 times from memory and my record is P6 L6. Yep, that's nul points out of 18 So why am I thinking of going again? Because it can't get any worse (can it?) and if we were somehow able to secure a point it will feel like a win. And of course this could be our last season in the Championship for some considerable time - so it will sad but poignant to see 2 clubs heading in opposite directions. -
What worries me is that a lot of performances people are classifying as "good", like WBA, I found to be very average if not poor. From memory we had a single shot on target in the WBA game. We finished 7th last season and have been in and around the playoffs in most seasons since L1 promotion. I understand standards being lowered a lot due to the choice of manager and suicidal transfer policy, but still, it's tough for me to call much of what I've seen this season as good. At best the odd 15-20 minutes here and there where we look a bit threatening, but is that where the limits of our ambitions should be?

Lampard has done a super job with them. Quick and incisive football and look like they are scoring goals for fun. The international break might stall their momentum a tad but this could be anything from 2 to 7 nil. A hammering here might just finish us given fixtures to come before the end of November. -
Even though Ipswich didn't play especially well, it was obvious their players were a class above Norwich's. Much smarter passing and movement. Another superb goal from Philogene as well. At some point defenders will presumably be advised to close him down rather than stand off and let him pick his spot. The lad is clearly deadly from outside the box if he's given time.
-
Oxford aren't that bad. Beat us easily at their place last seasln. Have a manager who's good at scrapping results. Their bench looks better quality than Rovers. Sheff Utd will definitely climb the table with lots of attacking ability such as Hamer and Ohare plus Cannon. Looks like Sheff Wed 24th and Rovers 23rd come next May.

at west brom henrikson was miles of the pace of the game, don`t think val trusts him to start i agree with you on gudjohnson,if you can`t control a football or be aware of your position then you have big problems at any level of the game less said about sidnei the better,he`s shown nothing to me that suggests he could have an impact, did have a decent half against bradford but since then he`s looked out of place in the championship, last week he was abysmal and was embarrasing to watch -

that's why I said it was good point, yet you come out with rubbish like celebrating cos we got a point. We stop the losses and got something to build on which my point was. people are probably reluctant cos people like yo0(over my view on Ismael last season) and others used it stick to beat other posters views when they change. Maybe think about your own actions first.
