  1. Past hour
  2. Literally a cheaper, younger (and to give him some credit) less injury prone version of JRC. As well as a convenient excuse not to sign TGH at the end of the season. Will mainly sit on the bench until it all comes full circle and a cheaper, younger replacement comes through the academy in a few years
  3. Today
  4. Fwiw I actually fancy getting O’Riorden back and playing for Rovers. Looks like he’s kicked on on loan and deserves a chance.
  5. Considering the importance of the game, our previous playoff traumas, and going two down so early, this is, in my view, the best Rovers (pound for pound) performance I've seen. I wasn't lucky enough to see the 5-2 Plymouth game which I guess is the nearest comparison. I worked with quite a few Derby fans at the time and they were very fair about this game. One of them memorably said "that was the luckiest 4-2 defeat we've ever had. You absolutely battered us!"
  6. That has to be one of the worst decisions I've ever seen. We were on the Riverside and we all went 'but Newell was behind him when the ball was played'
  7. Yesterday
  8. I bet he's earning more than Toth is.
  9. The “offside” goal too! What an awful decision that was, thank goodness it didn’t cost us in the long run!
  10. Souness often says Dunn could’ve been a 50-Cap England player if he’d focused on staying fit and getting his ‘engine’ right. I once had the chance to ask him if he had anyone in mind when he said that, and he said ‘Give David an engine like Steven (Reid) and you have a player that makes Gerrard look over his shoulder for his England spot. But that player doesn’t stay at Blackburn.’
  11. It would help if we had a half decent Sports Science department!!!
  12. No you're wrong. Ewood is the worst of all venues for us--check this season's results!!
  13. Who was the landlady/landlord then?
  14. So bring own food and drink. Dont pay for match day parking but park a small distance to the ground. The quality of food is poor so instead buy from local businesses or bring your own.
  15. Montgomery has it all to prove. He had a decent game at right back and he was being talked of as the replacement for Callum Brittain. I doubt we'll see him at right back much going forward. If he makes it as a DM, fair enough but I think he'll be a very limited squad player in this new degraded era.
  16. Amorim showing tactical flexibility to beat 10 man Everton over 80 mins
  17. I agree but, regardless, I don't think England could've done anything. Technically and, probably, psychologically , English players simply couldn't play or deal with possession football, which was dominant internationally. The Guardiola/Spanish revolution changed things a lot, I think, and now playing styles have converged. It might be shifting away again, now, but nonetheless, the 'rondo' is here to stay. I distinctly remember a Euro U21 tournament, when David Dunn was England captain and hailed by David Platt as the best young player in Europe. The squad had Crouch, Defoe, Gareth Barry, Alan Smith, Jenas, Konchesky - only to be made a fool of in matches by Hugo Viana and Massimo Maccarone.
  18. Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch
  19. Interesting just watching this video of Adam in the warm up. Not watching the ball, just constantly looking around as if in a game scenario, looking for options, head up all the time https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPi1u1LDEly/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  20. Sex Pistols announced today, with Frank Carter doing lead vocals. I’m tempted to go just to see 70yr old punks wondering around the place 🤣
  21. Iggy & The Stooges - Search And Destroy
  22. As a kid, the top end of Lammack road, was my paper-round.
  23. Not a beanie hat, but keep your eyes open on Thursday ...
  24. I don't think our sports science staff even know what day it is. Fifth raters in my opinion.
  25. He'd probably deafen you with a shout of,"Eight wickets!"
