Hekla Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 This guy is a fantastic player, proving that all the hype before was correct.

ada2020 Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 This guy was immense today he could yet save our season Indeed TCO, he was fantastic. The middle looked strong with him, P.Jones and N'zonzi today. As you say, might prove very valuable for the last 7 games. Said it before that he looked decent, proved it today.
deryck guyler's spoon Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I hope this guy goes back to Schalke. IMO, he is overrated and hugely overpaid. Described by Kean as box to box when he signed - with that statement, very much doubted Kean had seen him play! We already have a shed load of dross and mediocrity in midfield. Any more pearls of wisdom Miseryman?
Mattyblue Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Not seen a midfield performance like that from a Rover for a long time. Superb.
Amo Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Any more pearls of wisdom Miseryman? It's remarkable how quickly people are to write off players.
Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2011 Backroom Posted April 2, 2011 What amazed me is the amount of time he found on the ball he always seemed to find time to control the game.
Bobby G Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Great performance. Man of the match. Excellent link up between defence and attack. Has it all in his movement, touch, tackling, tracking back to be a box to box midfielder. Definitely better than whatever else we have on offer at the club.
Steve Moss Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 He was everywhere. The man is a machine. Looking forward to seeing him rough up Arse's pansies I vote we make Roversmum chief scout. She can spot talent.
beerwins Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 We have missed a player like JJ for ages, I love to see him challenge for everything put himself about and his football isnt to shabby either. I have noticed recently he is getting himself forward a lot more too, real box to box midfielder, the two Jones boys make a great midfield pairing, throw Dunn in there too instead of playing two strikers and I think we will start winning more midfield battles.
budha Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Superb game. Having P. Jones and N'Zonzi behind him brought the best out of him.
frosty Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Fantastic. Let's hope Schalke change their mind, and let us keep him.
Amo Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I wouldn't be surprised if Schalke were just trying to push his price up. I'd love to see him signed up in the summer.
Bobby G Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 No price was agreed from outset and it was a loan with end date set in just like with Roque. We wanted stop-gaps.
Roversi Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 an abosolute dynamo. Jermaninatorrrrrrrr. lets hope if we stay up he will go up to the camera's at wolves and state, ill be back blackburn rovers!!!. however, the closest guy to him ive seen is a lad at swansea called Darren Pratley, ive seen him a couple of times on tv and he is a real decent player, if swansea dont go up we could do with pratley as a like for like replacement of j.jones.
Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2011 Backroom Posted April 2, 2011 You have to think that if we stay up he may develop a real affinity for the club and may want to stay on forcing Schalkes hand to sell.
Mozzer Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 wheres the fans who said he aint good enough ?? absolute immense today ..fast becoming my favourite player
ChesterRover Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I was very unsure about him from previous performances but today he was immense, its been a long time since I have seen a Rovers midfield put in a full shift like that!
Torgeir Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Fantastic performance, didn't put a foot wrong today.
Hughesy Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 JJ - Man of the match without a doubt. He had everything...tackles, pace, drive, quality on the ball....FAR better than any central midfielder we have had for the last few years. He gave 110% too which is always what you want to see!
AJW Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 he was fantastic today deservedly MOM and yes as a defensive unit him Phil Jomes and Steven N'Zonzi were outstanding but...thats all they were .."a defnesive unit" ..the next time we play say fulham at home are you gonna be happy that 3 defensive midfielders are gonna be in the startin line-up
roverwhelmed Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Well done JJ. Would love to sign him permanently.
LeftWinger Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Top performance today - best central midfielder we've had in a long time.
Ricky Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I know schalke have said they want him back but if he finds he enjoys the style of the prem I would guess he could have a big say in his own future. He seems to be loving the prem at the moment.
Sysagent Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Another match and yet again JJ impresses on the pitch! This guy needs to be signed permanently, if not it will be one of the biggest mistakes of the Kean / Venkys era, I just hope if there is a chance he can be signed that he maintains his playing ability / motivation and that it just isn't a case of "the shop window" at the moment...
