Lurid Coat
I really hope Lowe, Henley and Hanley stay, but I bet they'll be off like a shot - and I can't blame them for wanting to get the hell away from this shambles.

Doubt it. Those three still have a helluva lot to prove yet before they'll be snapped up by bigger clubs.

Agree they have a lot to prove, but other clubs have decent managers and background staff who will help them develop to maybe become the completed article, they are young , home grown and other clubs know they will get a good deal in the fire sale. From the players point of view they may look to get out because the way things are going they might not be even guaranteed a wage 12 months from now and depending how they see their future staying at Rovers might be seen as a bad option. DavidMailsTightPerm
so basically our only decent players will be gone Personally - providing we can get rid of Kean - I would look forward to next season. IMO think Dann would go - as would Martin Olsson. Dunn and Pedersen are too dear for the Championship - unless they will take wage cuts. We have a few players that would benefit from some time at a lower level - to me it all revolves around getting in a decent manager.
Dunnfc
Martin olsson - high transfer value. Scott Dann - Teams already looking at him wages are expensive circa 30k. Ruben Rochina - has a base 23,000 before he enters the pitch Robbo - 40k plus, hes definatly going. Yak - 1.5 m release clause Formica- will be sold if anyone comes up with any money. MGP - wages an issue at 50k. Modeste - Loan return. Givet - wages too expensive The Zonz - first one to leave
magicalmortensleftpeg
I reckon Rochina and Formica could do quite well in the championship. I dont really care who goes. Only Hoilett, Robbo, Yak and Nzonzi are premiership players.

There'll be plenty of takers at that amount, won't there !

Pitty
Dunnfc, how do you know Pederson is on 50k a week and Rochina on 23k basic?
Dunnfc
funnily enough i saw a big article on agents in football, Rochinas agent Salamanca Ferrer claimed his client got a 23,000 basic salary before bounses on a article, i will try and find it in my history tab. MGP it was confirmed at the time he was close to a new 50 k contract when he signed under Sam so Palermo didn't get him. Remember rochina only has 12mths on his deal left. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-2030832/Nick-Harris-Agent-paid-1-65m-deal-player-cost-400-000.html

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 1, 2012 Moderation Lead Share Posted May 1, 2012 We'll definitely lose IMO : Robinson, Martin Olsson, Hoilett, N'Zonzi, Dann (good bloody riddance, to Dann) May lose: Marcus Olsson, Givet, Yakubu. Stuck with the rest..... You just know we're over-promoting youth team players and not buying anyone btw.

AJW
make no doubt about it Venky's will want as much as possible for any saleable asset , so dont be surprised to see N'Zonzi and Ollsson at least start the season for us next year while their sky high valuations arnt met

Commondore
I think out main problem will be getting rid of players rather than keeping hold of them. Mart Olsson, Nzonzi, Dann, Yakubu and Robinson are the ones I can see bringing in any sorts of transfer fees, other players will have to be loaned out or given away for free. The ones we can sell will be sold and won't be a problem at all. If the rest don't jump then we'll have to push them out and that will be costly. It's entirely what the parachute payment is for! Making sure that cosseted little prima donna's and their assorted parasites don't have to flog their villas in the sun. It's certainly not intended for clubs to keep thats for sure.
