dingles staying down 4ever Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Didn't he have a series of rather serious knee injuries. Seem to remember him being sidelined for 6 months or so while at Rovers, when he was 18 years old or so. Loaned out to Derby (?) after the first injury, but then got injured again during his loan there. May be my mind playing tricks on me, though. It is rather a long time ago now... Was he not on loan at the Dingles when he got injured?

dubdubdub Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Evans has returned to Full Training today. cant see him being on the bench yet. my Rovers team would be: - Robinson; Kane, Hanley©, Kilgallon, Spurr; Taylor, Cairney, Lowe, King; Gestede, Rhodes. bench:- Eastwood, Henley, Morris, Williamson, Dunn, Mahoney, Preston. I'm going for 3-1 Rovers win. That bench is looking a lot weaker. Is King fit?
Joar Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Was he not on loan at the Dingles when he got injured? Ah, maybe Derby was the permanent move he made from Rovers...
arbitro Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I'm pretty sure Keith Brown played for both clubs too. He was a young player at Rovers who came with a terrific pedigree. If I remember correctly Dalglish called at his house and that was the deciding factor in him coming to Ewood (he was Scottish). From memory he played a couple of times for the first team but didn't reach any great heights.

dingles staying down 4ever Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 He transferred from Derby to Derby? Ooops! It was a world record fee at the time between the same clubs.
CapeTownRover Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 are people happy with Hanley? i wonder what sort of partnership Dann and Killgallon can form, if they played together. i dont know what it is about Hanley, but he just does silly things which gets him into trouble.

You need to physically overpower your opponents at centre half.
CapeTownRover Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 no doubt Al, not questioning his defending, just something about him at times which lands him in unecessary trouble.
dingles staying down 4ever Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 To me, Hanley makes less dangerous mistakes than Dann. Dann has lapses of concentration but Hanley at times has rushes of blood.
JAL Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 With the shadow midfielders that run around a lot, doing nothing in there. Would have thought that this is definitely one for the Barnsley lads to put some points on the board.

If we can't beat the League's bottom side then we really aren't promotion candidates. Here's hoping for a resounding 2-0 away win.
AdamRochina Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Tonight my line up would be robbo kane hanley kilgallon spurr king cairney lowe taylor gestede rhodes
AggyBlue Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 no doubt Al, not questioning his defending, just something about him at times which lands him in unecessary trouble. He's also one of the quickest at the club. I don't know if King has raced him yet but Martin Olsson wouldn't.
AdamRochina Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 IM hoping that mahoney starts in place of Marshall now actually..would love to see what he can do
Backroom Tom Posted January 28, 2014 Backroom Posted January 28, 2014 Dunn starts - willowe start We got this 0-4
Jimmy612 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 IM hoping that mahoney starts in place of Marshall now actually..would love to see what he can do Against a team that will undoubtedly be very physical and are fighting for their lives you want us to play some kid who's about 9 stone wet through? I'm glad you aren't in charge tonight Adam No-one should be going into this game expecting an easy ride. They're on the back of a decent result against Blackpool and may well just fancy their chances tonight.
barry_ Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 team selection a f.cing joke lowe and williamson
Guest Norbert Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 It seems that centre midfield is an area that Bowyer has problems with, judging by many comments on this site.
roversfan99 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Dunn starts - willowe start We got this 0-4 Dunn is good, fair enough albeit in a stupid position. But Williamson and Lowe is ridicilious with Taylor and King in the squad.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 team selection a f.cing joke lowe and williamson They're joined at the hip, kick one- the other jumps !
