Nowt to rub in. Pleased to end the streak, pleased to get 3 points. Didn't think we dominated and don't think you were nearly as bad as some on here seem to feel.

Had a derby feel to it, neither team maybe hitting the heights. Dyche I suspect identified a weakness at the back because we played more long balls than usual.

As I said to a poster on here, you don't get bonus points for beating your local rivals - and you don't lose more points. It's done for now and we both have games Wednesday which, now, are more important than Sunday. After Wednesday the Saturday game becomes more important and so it goes for another 12 games or so.

I'm not trying to 'play it cool' but honestly, now the dust has settled my main joy from the day is increasing our lead over Derby and keeping ahead of QPR.

longsiders, may I ask why your brothers and sisters ripped the seats up yesterday even when you won?

Because some people are brain dead knobheads. The smashing of toilets and seats seems to have become an annual event at both grounds, absolutely stupid and pointless exercise.

As with all managers, he'll stick around until one of 2 things happens, he gets a better offer or he gets sacked. Ings will most likely go as he'll have bigger clubs after him, clubs nearer his home.

We are not up, not by a long way and if we don't manage it then I'm certain Dyche will be poached along with a few of our players.

Think you might want to pull the photo of the bloke getting arrested Mods.

I personally agree with @ewoodpugz who has attempted to rescue the poor scared hens at previous games and who I was sat with yesterday who says "I hope whoever brought the poor creature gets salmonella and shee-its their innards out"

What on earth point are they trying to make?

It would be remotely understandable if some numpty from Burnley thought it amusing, but our own fans?

Pondlife

The one positive of yesterday was seeing this moron being escorted out by stewards. Hope he never sees the inside of Ewood again.

I would be surprised if you didn't go up - in truth I was a little disappointed in your team - I suppose it just shows that good organisation, sheer hard work with a smattering of half decent players (Trippier looks excellent, as does Ings) goes a long way in the Championship. Plus of course, a once in a life time injury free run of key players - which is possibly the only thing that can derail you now. I wouldn't go as far as to say good luck for the rest of the season - but i am sure you will understand when I say that if it was any club of similar size to Burnley, run in the right way without spending fortunes on new players - I would much prefer that type of team promoted than somebody like QPR :tu:

I don't see a bright future for our club. In my opinion the first step towards the club's demise was venky's running the club as anderson and co told them. They got rid of football people who loved the club, and let agents and thieves get us relegated and debt ridden.

But I think the thing that will finish our club off is the large number of fans who are just so full of hate and anger that they can't support the steps towards recovery which the club has made recently.

There are no new owners coming to save us, if venky's leave, we go out of business. But it seems some fans would rather see the club die to satisfy their hatred for venkys.

I am going on Wednesday - I have to take wednesday afternoon and thursday morning off work for the travelling. Some fans on here talking about boycotting games - great way to rally round the club. Stay-away fans will harm rovers, while they blame venkys for doing the exact same thing.

Want the best for rovers - get behind the team.

Pretty much spot on. Even Gordon is eluding to a lot of what you say without actually admitting it. Problem is we have a lot of ... (we'll apparently we are from Blackburn, so are allowed to call a spade a spade) ... very 'thick' support, who would rather see the club go under and deny future generations in the area a Football League club ... than try to work with owners who have also been 'duped' by the real villain in this piece. IMHO.

Ings has been good for Burnley but Burnley has been good for him too. Why doesn't he live in the area ?

And your caution is worthy of Mourinho. Of course you're up - just enjoy the moment.

The problem is using the term "owners" in this instance would mean all four of them being duped and not knowing what the plan was,

I admire your tenacity on the conspiracy theory front ... perhaps it's a 'distance' thing?

Not the only ones to be duped did I hear you say ES?

We shall see, nice of you to mention the distance thing good argument that, perhaps we can pick it up next time I'm home. I appreciate as you are a fans forum member your stance on what a supporter is, good job they are not all like you.

We all know how Venkys were duped. Giving my earnest die-hard support, carrying on regardless while my team is mismanaged from the top down, is something I cannot do. Frankly it's madness.

Because he isn't funny?

Fun isn't the same as funny. People having fun can be quite nauseating, people like Alan Carr

What on earth is a protest going to do? Show the world that Rovers supporters can't take losing to their local rivals?

Like it or not, we are now stuck with Venkys. They've made a huge number of mistakes and they've stripped the club of a lot of its pride, but without them we are facing extinction. For the time being they pay the bills, bills that no one else is stepping up to pay.

Boycotting matches will just make us the laughing stock of the football league. It will make an already struggling club look virtually supporterless. Yes, you might get the odd person that understands patting you on the back and telling you that you're sticking up for real football fans, but the vast majority will not understand the mess at the heart of the matter and will just think of us as fairweather supporters who couldn't stick with a club after the Walker years.

No one else cares about Blackburn. It's our job to care about the club. If you think that you can serve the club best by ignoring it then you are seriously misguided. Hope isn't lost, the club is in a position now to build on the squad that we have and make a push towards promotion next season. Had we won yesterday we would have had our 35 year record and we would have sat two points off the playoffs and the attitude on here would have been totally different.

It's football, it's sport. It's decided by fine margins. By the width of the post on a Rhodes shot or the edge of Robinson's boot on a deflected Inge's effort. That's sport and it's tough to take sometimes, but now it is our job to keep supporting the club and hoping for better days.

We can keep looking for excuses as to why we are where we are now, or we can try to improve. If you want to take a big lesson from yesterday it should be to look at Burnley and see what dedication and hard work, even in the face of often inept ownership, can help you to achieve.

You conclusively know that no-one is interested in owning BRFC?

Well yes it is actually. Things always seem to look more 'exotic' than they actually are from a distance. When you are meeting with some of the alleged protagonists every six weeks or so and discussing mundane issues such as 'smoking in the bogs' then they seem a little less James Bond and more Coronation Street.

Actually its a bit like the cliched plane and banner stuff...pointless, no originality.it's so..er.. last year....and I just wonder "Why?"

'35 years, who cares'. But they cared enough to pay for a plane to go over...

Bad day indeed, but we all knew it was coming and to be honest I'm glad it's done with. Now people can get there heads out of the clouds.

Main thing I could say now, is venkys must leave at all cost. Before assets get sold for there own good. We all know they will leave, but at what cost. People say how could we survive without them. Well if need be sell some assets as long as it keeps us alive.

But need TRUSTed people to sell those assets. Not some two bob millionaires who couldn't care less.
