chaddyrovers Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I think someone like Alex McLeish or Gary Bowyer would be a good fit for them.

47er Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Their chairman has said on the BBC that they want PL football Yes but first they need stabilising. Years of it!
roverandout Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 A small club like Bristol city will never be a premier league club, clubs have to accept their level and Bristol city are a lower half championship/league 1 club
LewisF Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 A small club like Bristol city will never be a premier league club, clubs have to accept their level and Bristol city are a lower half championship/league 1 clubim sure many said that to Bournemouth not too long ago and now look
sharpysharps Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Tell you what, Hudersfield are looking decent under their new manager, playing some great stuff. I'm sure I read somewhere that he was Klopp's assistant at Dortmund. Seems like a decent start from him so far, hope it works out for them.
Backroom Mike E Posted January 14, 2016 Backroom Posted January 14, 2016 A small club like Bristol city will never be a premier league club, clubs have to accept their level and Bristol city are a lower half championship/league 1 club Bournemouth, Swansea, Wigan, Blackpool, Stoke, and even us at our lowest. All small fry for a time, big fish for a time.
old darwen blue Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Bournemouth, Swansea, Wigan, Blackpool, Stoke, and even us at our lowest. All small fry for a time, big fish for a time. No we have always been "big fish" check the stats pal.
oldjamfan1 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Their chairman has said on the BBC that they want PL football They should have got Lambert while he was available then. Oh wait, that's not what he meant, is it?.......... im sure many said that to Bournemouth not too long ago and now look Fair point but funnily enough I can still see Bournemouth going down this season, despite some amazing results.
awhom111 Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 I'm sure I read somewhere that he was Klopp's assistant at Dortmund. Seems like a decent start from him so far, hope it works out for them. He was the Dortmund II manager, so he was more like the reserves manager, but they play within the league structure. He got them promoted from the fourth tier to third tier and kept them there for a couple of seasons before getting them relegated. Am I allowed to claim him as an American?
davulsukur Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 A small club like Bristol city will never be a premier league club, clubs have to accept their level and Bristol city are a lower half championship/league 1 club Killing the magic of football in one swift post.

chor808 Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Cardiff under embargo. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35325391
JHRover Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Cardiff under embargo. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35325391 I don't understand how they can do that. I thought the whole point was that accounts were submitted in November so that they could be considered by the League with clubs being notified of any punishment ahead of the transfer window opening. Now it seems Cardiff have had half of January without an embargo and have been able to go out and sign players, and now will spend the remainder of the month restricted. It also sounds like they are considering appealing the decision which if they do will enable them to trade pending the outcome of the appeal and make the whole thing pointless anyway.

They make it up as they go along. I guess it's not possible but have these rules really 'saved' any clubs from meltdown. I expect not.
Iceman Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Still waiting for QPR to get their FFP sticker slapped onto them
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 15, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted January 15, 2016 Still waiting for QPR to get their FFP sticker slapped onto themGet a book mate, it'll be a while...
Iceman Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Get a book mate, it'll be a while...I know, but hate the fact that they, Derby and Boro are just spending without a care in the world.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 15, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted January 15, 2016 I know, utter balls isn't it?
G Somerset Rover Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 The scummers look light years ahead of us on this showing.
Baz Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Cardiff put under embargo as the owner put money into the club - is that not a good thing? I can only think that some clubs accountants are cleverer than the football league assessors, and are hiding debt on the balance sheets. It is odd though that Cardiff are being punished on 15th Jan.
the original david brent Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 The scummers look light years ahead of us on this showing. I was just about to post the same thing. They played more free flowing attacking football in the build up to their first goal than we have for about 3 months. They have just gone 3 up. Meanwhile the prospect of a another drab low scoring game beckons for us tomorrow
LDRover Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 More worrying is the prospect of a severe dicking at the turd in March
Mattyblue Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Players, players, players. They have a mix of experience, leaders, and players that have done the business at this level and the PL. We have a side with no leaders, hardly anyone over 30, no pace, no hunger and no strength. Their one frugal year in the PL has put them light years ahead of us.
G Somerset Rover Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 It's the runners from midfield and pace throughout the side which is most startling in comparison to watching our powder-puff boys. Bring on the summer eh.
