This negotiating over O'Riordan's fee...we met a minimum fee release clause. Generally means you haven't met what the club actually want for the player if you're having to resort to the clause. They won't be obliged to sell if the fee isn't up front (unless the clause specifies it can be staggered), so they're likely to insist on more than the 500k if it's structured.

What about Nottingham Forest Wayne Hennessey or Ethan Horwath.... third and fourth choice at the moment. Both international keepers with lot of experience.

He could be a Premier League player or at least promotion winner in the next 5 months. More than he has achieved in 6 years with Rovers.

And yet he made 42 appearances in what was our best season since relegation. And since we’ve not been playing him we are plummeting like a stone. To say awful is pure hyperbole.

Minor point but zero chance Ipswich go up this season imo with Southampton and Leeds in hot pursuit.

Well at least he’s got a chance of going up at Ipswich, (a club in League One last season), which is more than he would have here.
