Popular Post den Posted 6 hours ago Popular Post Posted 6 hours ago (edited) It’s a welcome move for me and normally I’d be looking forward to moving forward. Venkys have latched onto the obvious unrest at the club and with the fans. The problem is that they don’t understand what’s really happening down here, how the fans feel or have felt for the last 15 years, or what they need to do to turn all that around. They might be doing this with good intentions, or they might have other reasons but in my opinion they don’t understand and they never will. if you don’t understand the problem you can’t fix it. In my opinion the owners allocate Waggott and Pasha an annual budget and beyond that, up until recently at least, as long as the Club remains within budget, they have relatively little idea what happens down at Ewood on a day to day basis. Do you think the owners actually set ST prices? Or care two hoots whether we sell (say) 15,000 Season tickets at £150 or 7,500 at £300 as long as financial targets are met? 7 Quote

Waggy76 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago It is the Rao/Venkys that needs to be out of the door , very soon . Until , that happens not a lot will change . 6 Quote

I think the next step to that will be to get Pasha on his bike because while we don't know for sure, it seems very likely that he is the one keeping us from letting them know our views and is the one giving his version of events as opposed to everyone else's. Maybe they think we've forgiven them and think they're great for putting bare minimum in, they might not realise how much we want them to sell Quote

The only cautionary note to be sounded about Waggott leaving is that he wouldn't leave that cushy number unless it were absolutely necessary. Having massively upped his own remuneration in the last set of accounts that might have been one last hurrah from him before he left knowing the s**t was flying unerringly towards the fan. Might be he wanted to exit stage left before he got the blame for none of the better players being signed up to new deals this summer or next etc. If it is a sign of internal implosion and the owners' exit possibly being hastened, most will view that as a positive I'm sure. 2 Quote

Popular Post CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted 5 hours ago Popular Post Posted 5 hours ago This is a day to be celebrated. That fat rat has darkened our doors for far too long with his pound shop, rented coach, small club CEO mindset. He doesnt deserve a tenth of what he has earnt whilst reducing Blackburn Rovers in every single facet over the last 7 years. What happens next fuck knows, but today I will celebrate, good riddance. 19 Quote

Popular Post SuperBrfc Posted 5 hours ago Popular Post Posted 5 hours ago Silvester. Broughton. Waggott. JDT. Eustace. The fans The players? Who's next in the fall guy queue? It's only a matter of time before this shit show completely falls apart. I've said it before but...Yasir, Rudy...if you are reading this...do yourselves a favour. Nobody is succeeding at this club under this shit regime. Look at the past 15 years at this football club and tell us why we should be content with this ownership? Use your own brains and get that crap about us wanting a repeat of 1995 out of your heads. That's a false narrative deliberately being put out there to discredit us fans. Ask around Blackburn, Yasir...which Rovers fans do you know or speak to, who want Venky's out, because they want the Shearer and Sutton days back and the spending of the 90s to return? You know that's bullshit, we know that's bullshit. Rudy would do well to start grasping that. Know, that it's Pasha's exit we are after. It's him and the owners we have a massive issue with. Blackburn Rovers does not recover until Pasha and Venky's are gone. If you want to back Pasha and do his bidding, that's up to you, but you then become a part of the problem. On Waggott, of course I'm glad he has gone. This has been a long time coming. He he has played his part in the dumbing down of this club and the lowering of expectations. From day one it was clear what he was about, but many out there convinced themselves into believing he was a good appointment because he wasn't Shaw or Agnew. What a ridiculously low bar to operate from, but once again, this all goes back to the actions of those at the top. We've been making do for 15 years based on the sad rationale that the new appointment/signing/coach/whoever is less shit than the previous incumbent. Standards are on the floor at this club and there have been two constants throughout all of this. While I'm pleased with Waggott's exit, it changes nothing in the overall picture. You're next, Pasha. 18 Quote

He is an easy hit given his age. A nice fat NDA to enhance his retirement pot too The abrupt statement indicates this has happened really quickly. The problem with that theory is that those of us who want change are ravenously hungry. Sacking one of the three stooges will just serve to send us into a frenzy because we see it as the first of the dominos to fall. Quote

sharpysharps86 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Glad Waggott has gone, but I fear if / when Gestede gets announced as his replacement we will feel like its back to square one, or even a few steps further back. Waggott was a problem....but he wasn't THE problem. Still, as I say I'm glad he's gone. 3 Quote

TheFinalCountdown Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Good riddance. Unforgivable decisions made on his watch. If only it was the first domino of many. Suhail should be next, but he's probably getting another useless crook to replace him. Let's keep the heat up. 3 Quote

Spot on den. The further probems as I see them, this gives the club a reason to hold back transfer funds, if any had been set aside in the first place and Waggott, like him or loath him, was the best CEO we've had since this lot landed, he wasn't the problem, the owners are the problem. BobdaBuilder Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This has the feel of a cancer sufferer celebrating getting rid of a crappy wig. It doesn't solve the underlying problem and the next one might be even more crappy. Lets hope they don't apoint someone direct from chicken HQ to take over. Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Had a chat with someone today. Told Venkys aren't looking to sell but not happy with those running the club. Waggott the first but not expected to be the last. Also alluded - as most had worked out - that the current leadership did not want promotion. 3 Quote
