He isn’t languishing, he’s one of the most exciting talents in US football and has just been capped by the national team.

Well, think it's pretty certain he wont end up at Rovers!

Like all footballers he will sign for whichever club offers him the most money and ultimately chance of progression to a top league.

He just hates Rovers and loves reporting on things that annoy us. Very strange man.

Fair assessment.

He's done it again today - circa £30m of transfer fees coming in, his response "it'll be used to pay wages."

Then what's the fucking point of having rich owners? Especially ones that leave Ewood and the board room to rot and ruin?

Rovers need to get one or two good (incoming!) transfer deals agreed asap otherwise it's going to be yet another summer of fan unrest a further declining st sales.

Just get at least Maguire and a Ross Sykes deals in the bag and that would hopefully keep things a bit smoothed over until the euros!

Let's hope they are fairly well down the line with a new DOF, can't see much if anything happening till he's in place

Rovers are activating Gally’s 12 month extension according to Teamtalk, and also discussing a new longer term deal

Activating the extension was a given. That way we can get a fee if we sell.

Personally not a fan of the dof role. Just give me a real manager that isn't afraid to take on the extra pressure, responsibility and time of first team transfers and being in charge of scouting!!

It's too easy now for 'first team coaches' to just pass the buck when a transfer flops or doesn't live up to expectations.

The owners can only put such much money in each season which is why I would like to end FFP rules and allow owners of clubs to spend as much as they like as long as its own money being put into the club and not bank loans

exactly. He is promising player with a good goalscoring record. Plus as you have said he has just broken in the national team

Unless he's up for taking a significant pay cut, I can't see any way in which a new deal for Gallagher makes any sense.

Because we've supposedly no money, and he's an experienced Championship forward who's already paid for.

It makes the most sense.

Asterisks could be placed on both Championship and Forward.

Pure footballing ability. Putting a smile on your face. Can Siggy leap over a Mini, or throw a golf ball the length of Ewood ?

We've brought in £25 million in the last 12 months and spent less than £1 million.

We are going to bring in another £15 million this summer.

Our wage bill is now at the bottom end of the Championship.

Yet we will spend less than most clubs in this league this summer and not many of our rivals will get close to that sort of money coming in from sales

Please please please can we drop the FFP excuses at least just for this summer. A lack of spending will be entirely a decision of the owners and will probably relegate us next season given the state of the squad.

all that helps towards to FFP meaning we can spend more.

Commercially the clubs needs to get more productive and get a better shirt sponsor, more ground sponsorship and increase Commercial revenue. Can the current CEO and Commercial team do this?

I dunno if he can, but I’m confident neither of them would help us get promoted. Good to know what’s important, though.

I’d love to loan or if we have money to spend buy Jay Stansfied and loan with a view to buy Tom Cannon. Add a rapid tricky winger and we could have quite a forward line.
Also,  I’d sell Siggy if he isn’t going to sign an extension to his contract.

The answer rhymes with grow.
