I suppose it depends on whether the club think they can eventually get a fee for him either in January or next summer that recoups the wages lost paying a player who they have no intention of putting on the pitch. The sensible option would be to reintegrate him as second choice, obviously, as he's not going anywhere until January at the earliest and the only other goalkeeper at the club with proper senior experience. No use for him in terminating his contract either way as he would have to wait until January. Quote

Could still have a loan or permanent overseas Plenty of windows still open around Europe & further afield https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/statistik/transferfenster Quote
Backroom Tom Posted September 2 Backroom Posted September 2 Always thought Pears would end up in America at some point, can he still go there? Quote

Bohinen1983 Posted September 2 Posted September 2 No way am I terminating Pears contract. He's a more than adequate number 2 at this level and if Toth gets injured then he'll have a point to prove.. if he's off I definitely want a fee and competition for Toth.. Ideally Benson is pushing him hard to improve and be ready.. He's definitely worth a fee, million at least... 5 Quote
Bohinen1983 Posted September 2 Posted September 2 And to be absolutely clear I'm not a fan of Pears. Quote

But as we've managed 7-figure fees for JRC, Buckley and another one that skips my memory, it's plausible that we could con someone into paying a million for Calamity. Quote
roversfan99 Posted September 3 Posted September 3 He needs to go back to being sub keeper. Ismael (or maybe someone higher up) needs to drop any grudge to avoid us taking a huge risk with a kid as next in line. 3 Quote

If he left on a free now he wouldn't be able to sign for anyone until there respective transfer windows open. 1 Quote
NeilInBristol Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Apparently it was a botched hair transplant which meant he couldn’t train hes back in the squad now we thought he was dropped but no he just couldn’t train or play Quote
roversfan99 Posted 3 minutes ago Posted 3 minutes ago It wasnt as simple as that. He clearly was the player with the transplant, he has not taken that hat off even in the pissing down rain. But he had been training in pre season, was seen training for example in the Spain pre season camp, and asked and played in an under 21 game to keep fit weeks before his spell frozen out of the squad ended, which happened to also be the first game post transfer window closing.
