Is it beyond the realms that VI was told no more incomings and he's told them to shove it? Or maybe, following his comments regards Alebiosu not leaving, Rovers have accepted a bid. This circus has dragged us all away from the main feature of the day. We need a striker! I don't disagree that we still need players but I don't think we were signing anyone else today, now that the Sheff Weds lad is off to Wrexhem. We weren't signing anyone else, even if Ismael was still here. Better he's gone and we sign no one, rather than sign no one and still have hm in charge. 3 Quote

rock steady Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Mutual consent. NDA signed. Have to respect how Val remained in alignment, even regarding his own dismissal. 3 2 Quote
TugaysMarlboro Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago This has Karanka written all over it if Gestede's grubby mitts have anything to do with it. I wonder if the rumoured slating they got from some of the JW Upper on Saturday had anything to do with it? Has to be a scapegoat after all. 5 Quote
ruggles1995 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago you imagine gested will be picking someone he knows from his playing days or whose in in his agents circle. I doubt it will be a long process either, probably already lined up. Who ever it is its been needed it just needs a new face to try and give it a go. Personally I think were going down doesnt matter who has a go, but someone to come in with a fresh idea is needed, even if its the tea lady. Quote

AvRover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Who will take the poisoned chalice next for 12 months? We've lived this cycle for too long. No one of any quality will come now. Only the third manager they've sacked in 15 years. Don't let this distract you from the true problem - THE REGIME. Edited 2 hours ago by AvRover 2 Quote

My guess is that Ismael was actually relieved of his duties on Saturday and in the interim a new manager has agreed terms and will be announced soon. You may be crediting them with greater foresight than they actually have Quote

Think someone mentioned earlier this month rather have no signings and him leave Quote

Ianrally Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Now that Gracia has left Watford, then Val might be sraight back in there. Quote
roverandout Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) If its someone he worked with I wouldn't be surprised if its Gary bowyer. (I'm joking but also shitting my pants) Edited 2 hours ago by roverandout Quote

davulsukur Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Looks like Gestede has appointed the 5th worst manager (based on Win %) in our history. Red lines through caretaker appointments. Exciting times, I think he said.....? 1 Quote
yellowsubmarine Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago No one want JDT back? His record at Rovers is pretty decent. Even though we conceded alot, we scored alot too. Quote
Popular Post SuperBrfc Posted 2 hours ago Popular Post Posted 2 hours ago I personally think Ismael has told them to get stuffed after hearing what will be happening before the deadline is up. I.e the square root of eff all. When we go down, it will be him getting it in the neck. Forget the 'alignment' guff. The look on his face, his demeanor and him sounding like JDT and Eustace over the last six weeks spoke volumes. He wanted signings lined up early and ready at the start of this month. Where are they? He wanted quality and experience to come in this window. Where are they? He wanted a striker to come in. Where is that striker? It's absolutely right and fair that he has gone, results have been disastrous, but I have no bad feeling towards Ismael overall. This is another manager who was let down by the worst hierarchy in world football at a club owned by the worst owners in world football. He was on to a loser from day one. Val...I can only apologise as a Blackburn Rovers supporter. This is not the true Blackburn Rovers, it hasn't been since November 2010 and these people are absolutely nothing to do with us and our club. We do not claim them as Blackburn Rovers people. 20 Quote

Norbert Rassragr Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The timing is mental but what do we expect? No idea which manager is running out of Universal Credit benefits and have to find any job. I'm expecting someone absolutely awful as the more reputable managers would have heard how terrible the job is. Quote

We had the same palpable anger when Eustace left 12 months ago, it'll be the same in 12 months under this ownership. Don't kid yourself they'll bring in Enzo Maresca. It's another mediocre place man for 12 months and friction will grow when the club opts not to spend. Rinse and repeat Feb 2027. The only question is if it's in League 1 or the Championship. 4 2 Quote
