£300k a pay day? Christ.

Rover's astute transfer dealing!! Been a while.

Should keep the lights on for a couple of weeks!

Remember in just over 2 years time that every first team squad member will be out of contract.

Ha.

My guess is that if anyone was to sign permanently, they will only be two year deals with a "1 year option".

I expect V's finance people will say ok we'll send half the 4.9 because we still have to bond some of it so you will have to find the rest.

I predicted a Tom Cairney style cut price emergency sale this summer and i still reckon it'll happen, anyone who can stump up an instant up front 1.5/2m can take their pick.

Highest earners only though.

Brittain, Travis, Tronstad, Carter

I reckon this lot would snap someone's hand off for £1 million guaranteed immediate cash for any of them, and plenty will test the water now that it is public knowledge the club is still embroiled in a financial/legal crisis, despite the best efforts of the stooges and local media to pretend it isn't happening.

When does pre season begin? Gaffer wanted 6 in before then didn't he?

Pre season will start somewhere around the 23rd-30th June.

He wanted 90% of deals done by then.

Spent some time around the Peak District this week and got talking to an Exec Box holder at Derby.  He reckoned both Travis and Baath were 'nailed on' signings for Eustace.  Seems like most of the Derby fans were resigned to relegation and they still can't believe how Eustace managed to haul them out of the huge hole they found themselves in.

I dread to think what our squad will look like come our first match of the new season.

I've no doubt Derby will be pushing for top six whilst we struggle to keep out of the bottom three.

i’m sick of these owners, so boring and predictable. I guarantee our manager leaves after another diabolical January transfer window.

and we’ll still see fans on twitter that think everything’s sunshine and rainbows

He did a great job keeping Derby up and good on him. Infuriating/embarrassing that he is the second excellent manager we’ve had leave us in 2 years due to our moronic ownership. I dare say either coach could have seen us promoted to the promised land with just modest investment. The complete lack of ambition shown to not capitalise on that opportunity is appalling.

Spot on.

Yeah, I can definitely see Batth going there....maybe Travis, hard to tell yet. Sounds like they're also keen on a Weimann reunion.

I'm not convinced Derby will be pushing top 6 next season. I think they'll be in that middle group at best with the likes of Swansea, Millwall, Stoke, etc. If Batth, Weimann and Travis are their targets then that reads as mid table consolidation to me, and next season will arguably be the toughest championship for attempting to get top 6.

I don't think they'll spend money on Trav and he'll be looking for a long term deal as well so they'll not tie that type of brass up in him i don't think.

Batth i think that will happen, not sure about Weimann at his age and injury status he'd be daft to walk away from here.

Travis could do better than Derby I think. Could see one of the relegated prem teams going for him.

Hes had a great season, I will be very surprised if we dont get bids.

I don't think he last that long, mid October for me.

Like everyone, I’m concerned/mortified thinking where the squad might be on 2nd September.

But just like a car crash, the overwhelming feeling I’ve got is morbid curiosity.

We have virtually no prize assets that can bring in significant cash, we very likely are living hand to mouth and we have a manager that stated he wanted most of the transfer business done by the first day of preseason.

We have possibly the least-experienced staff (all the way through the club) we’ve ever had, to make it happen.

Whatever we think is going to happen, I reckon what actually happens will be orders of magnitude more batshit.
