Looking at Ohashi, Kargbo, De Neve etc it appears with our limited budget we’re taking a punt on buying players with physical pace attributes rather than technical. I’ll be interested to see how this plays out output-wise as a direct comparison to Dolan who is the opposite.

Wouldn't say Ohashi is quick?

I'm not sure how you continually manage to conclude that I'm trying to protect and deflect blame away from the owners when I'm saying they need to be gone ASAP.

Until they go however, business still has to be done, and if transfers are concluded in more timely fashion it "might" be a small victory.

Ultimately means little if the players coming in are shite though.

Im not the only person to conclude that.

But like Ohashi works incredibly hard.

Gone a bit quiet on that front. Wonder if the interest in him isn't quite as keen as he was expecting?

Anything to save us from Hedges on that side.

Well its a signing and we paid a fee; perhaps uninspiring but his pace could be useful and he gives some flexibility to change formations.

And as a rule always back a lad when he plays for us unless he gives us reason not to in his play/attitude.

Based on the limited we know, hardly an inspiring and exciting signing. The Belgian journalist in the Lancashire Telegraph seemed surprised with big question marks over his quality and an expectation that he would stay in the Belgian second division.

That being said, he is apparently quite quick and we have sorely lacked any speed in our side for a while. One player who seems to be stunted more than anyone by this was Cantwell who needs movement and pace around him to thrive I think. And hes still quite young so hopefully he can improve at a higher level. I wonder if the plan is that Kargbo will be first choice on the left and De Neve will be competition as Kargbo himself appears to be very raw.Β

We need goals in the attack as we didnt score enough and the attack isnt good enough. Hopefully that will come through signings right across the front line which needs an overhaul, we need a first choice winger as well as needing a striker and number 10.

It is imperative that we keep and extend the deals of the core of the side (Tronstad, Travis, Brittain and Hyam) amidst trying to find value abroad which on its own makes a lot of sense. It wouldnt warrant praise as deals should have been sorted long ago for these players but for lots of excuses. I fear that the plan is to allow at least some of the higher earning key players mentioned to go and replace with foreign players on cheaper wages. But lets see.

And to qualify everything. Like anyone else, will be judged on how he plays here, obviously.

Perhaps Kagbo gets played on the right? With Beck having been put at LW at the first opportunity, maybe he wants wingers to cross the ball in rather than cutting in for a shot.Β

Interestingly, or perhaps not, a look at de neve's Instagram page has videos of a few goals, most being scored on his right. The YouTube highlights reel seemed to show him as left footed; we might actually have a winger willing to use his weaker side

pedersen, wilcox, atkins, windy miller, branigan, they`ve all had the riverside treatment!!!!!!!

Don't agree with Jimmy Armfield's old "Ewood Park isn't a crowd, it's a jury" quip.

I'd say the Ewood crowd is as mild and forgiving as they come. Always has been imo.

It’s an absolutely shocking signing, it tells us all exactly where we are as a club! Fucking jokers!

This isnt the most positive. Seems to have surprised the locals who expected him to stay in the Belgian second division. Doesnt score, doesnt assist, poor end product, hasnt really developed and inferior to Bocat who Stoke signed and has struggled.

Im inclined to give the scouts the benefit of the doubt as recent pretty random additions have worked out okay. Hope he is decent.
