As a lay person I still maintain that if he didn't have any underlying problem when he came, everyone was screened for potential issues before the start of pre season and they're warming up properly, no-one should be breaking down as early as day 2 or 3. I assume they're not being flogged to death at that point or shouldn't be.

Aerobic testing normally happens in the early days so they have something to compare to mid pre season and then again I’d assume right at the start of the season

I think it is lazy scouting, watched by video ,brew in one hand and a spud pie in the other. How many games did he complete last season? How many similar injuries over his career? 

Another if he is any good, why as he ended up here?

So by that token with Brittain, Travis, Tronstad and Hyam all with just 12 months left on their contract you would expect Rovers to accept derisory offers? 

The lad is going to have a number of clubs chasing him - Wolves, Union Berlin and Strasbourg are just 3 I've seen mentioned.

He might fit the bill but I think it's almost zero chance of happening.

Sadly Chaddy, like many other Rovers' fans, you swallow hook, line and sinker the, IMO, bullsh1t flowing from Ewood.  "Another money signing possible and they seem to be backing Ismael with some money" - it's crap and tiddly winks!!!  Our market is not Sagnan, Nade or Kapuadi but cheap, cheerful and unproven signings like De Neve and Tavares with low up front fees and inflated add-ons that most likely will never happen.  Wake up and smell the coffee as I think the likes of you are being conned big time.

We did better as a team but our attack was worse.

It almost always seems like when we have a goal machine we don't do so great, Shesrer and Garner aside.  Likes of Armstrong, Rhodes, Gestede.

We also did well when we had McCarthy, Bellamy, Jansen etc banging in the goals.

We havent done particularly well in the last 15 years regardless of who we have had. In fact, some of our highest finishes in that time did include a main goalscorer or 2.

I had forgot all about those. oh the memories, Santa Cruz too.  I loved us under Hughes.  No one liked playing us.

Sure but not because he scored a couple of goals. Money talks...

 

All our deals are cheap or free, there's a snag in the contract or something else that makes us attempt to get a good value player for less than his worth, it seems.
