“Hard to know much about Kargbo”

>proceeds to post everything bad Kargbo has done

You don’t think this poster trolls?

In the same amount of time Kargbo has also beat two men and drove the ball into the box - three silly errors, three good pieces of play. Which do you focus on?
Looks a decent player to me. Another decent spot for our recruitment team, who again play this game with their hands tied behind their backs

I don't think he can be put down as a "decent spot" by any means yet. He has not scored for us and only has set up one with a nice bit of play, obviously because he got injured so soon and missed much of the remainder of the season.

For clarity, he isn't a waste of money yet either.

Based on the glimpses we have seen, he is incredibly quick but very raw too. But comparing to Dolan, he has proved to be our most effective wide player and a very capable Championship standard player, so that is the standard.

I like Kargbo but think he's still raw. I reckon he still needs a few games to bed himself in.
But like you said he's shown attributes that Dolan doesn't have...pace and directness.
Kargbo will have to do a lot, to better Dolan work rate though.

O’Riordan To Donny - Good loan for him that.

Best move for the lad is out of Rovers permanently and get back what we can for him.

O’Riordan has been a bizarre signing, I don’t think I have ever seen him play a game for us and we spent decent money (for us) on him.

Totally bizarre - seen him play twice and left with multiple lacerations following feverish head scratching.

Agreed, only positive is that he’s still young enough and could improve. League 1 will be a test for him. Hopefully he can hold his own

The lads not got it.  With 70+ appearances with Crewe and at 21 should be showing so much more.  Bombed on loan at Cambridge - says it all.

Broughton bought him and it seemed neither JDT or Eustace fancied him. Normally that'd be a damning indictment because they see him in training every day, but both managers also consistently started Calamity so they're not infallible.

He's come on twice as a sub.

Posted on here before, told Eustace didn't fancy him at all.

Well there we go, Derby signing Patrick Agyemang will take their spending to over £4million with 2 months of the window left!

Is Poku proven at Championship level you ask.

Are De Neve and Tavares proven at Championship level?

I would bet my house that of those 3 players Poku will have by far the biggest impact this season.

Scouts - so what???  We signed Brian Kidd from Man U as manager and he proved shite and we signed David Goodwillie from Dundee United and he was also shite so haven't a feckin clue where you are coming from on our newly 'signed scouts'.

and he's just about to sign Agyemang from MLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You really must be having a bad day at the office Chaddy!

Read that his senior record is 1 goal in 2.5 games (almost 20 goals in a Championship season!!!)

Think Agyemang and Morris will be a real handful for defences - a partnership with a great physical presence.  Miles better than anything we have or even likely to have.

Why is it you rubbish all players other Championship clubs sign but 'big up' the rubbish Rovers sign!?!?

This was you….i get the concern but not everybody can just be written off

Tronstad was a cheap option was he not? Turned out pretty well. No way of knowing right now how good or bad Tavares will be for us without having seen him kick a ball.

Difference being he had fallen out with his manager and had just been regularly playing in the Europa League for Vitesse.

Wrong there several points

Wasn't a comment on his ability, was just pointing out that it isn't a domestic deal.

The growing narrative seems to be almost as if Eustace would have a full team of English pensioners if he could.

The fee will be far more than we would spend here.

Ok fair enough

Never said that but he does prefer experience people. Think Morris is a good signing.

We see. You didn't think we would any signings yet in but we had 2 signings in and hopefully a third in shortly

The bloke seems so mild mannered, its hard to imagine him falling out with anyone.

Who determines the decision that he's better?

I'll let you off now that I'll agree that Tronstad may be better, then again he's up there with the best in the league...BUT...I bet you a donation to a charity of your choosing that you thought the same when he walked through on a free 2 seasons ago.

I'll wait till the lads kicked a ball before taking an opinion.

Use the ratings in the BRFCS Match Centre…😉

You keep saying this as a response to pretty much everything, relevant or otherwise.

I was saying that Ismael wanted 90% done by pre season which was never happening.

We all know what Ismael said. Has anyone forget this? No.

You can hold your hands and say you were wrong about this.

Eustace wants only certain style of players and you can see that through his time at Birmingham and Us. He prefers the UK market. He wanted more control over signings and who the club signs. He wasn't going to get that here. He has more say in transfers at Derby and you see that with his first signings. Morris is a target striker he wants, Batth and Weimann are experience players who fits his style. He is also targeting Dion Sanderson.

And it works. Because it had us and Birmingham on track for the play offs on a limited budget and shambles behind the scenes.

Simple question, requiring one word answer:

Would you prefer it if decisions were being made by Eustace or the current lot (Gestede)?

For example, this thread shouldn’t be the “transfer thread” it should be renamed; “Roversfan99/JHR/Mercer predict relegation, all best players sold, and all new signings shit, whilst Chaddy Inexplicably still reads their responses and replies constantly”

I guess you and others enjoy it, but personally, if it wasn’t for potential snippets of actual information every 100 or so posts, I wouldn’t bother.

The most pertinent point must be, 90% of what ?

Not sure if it's been mentioned but looks like Flavien-Enzo Boyomo is on the move, will we get any sort of fee seeing as he came through our ranks?

I don’t think so as any training compensation and solidarity payments due under FIFA regulations only covers transfers up to the calendar year  in which a player turns 23.

If he’d moved last year (or earlier) we’d have been due a (small) percentage of the fee.

That's us out the running then!

Trying to think of the last time Rovers signed a player when there were other clubs in for him?

It's alright, he's not that good anyway

Every football message board around will have their version of all the posters mentioned. We're actually not so hard done to given that our fan base is relatively small. Imagine the Leeds message board with 10 or more Chaddy-esque posters on, I'd have to call it a do at that point.....

I mean, I havent predicted relegation or said either signing is shit. And I havent said that "all our best players will be sold" although the ones with 1 year left are obviously at risk.

But if it helps your point.

its realistic to believe we'll be weaker next season and probably weaker still the next season after that, given our owners expect us to fund ourselves via sales, low transfer fees and low wages.

Do you agree with that?

You act like it was just Eustace making the calls on transfers last summer which wasn't the case. It was joint effort between Gestede, Owen, Eustace and Park in terms of transfers. Eustace signed off every transfer we signed.

Just like it is now between Gestede, Owen, Ismael and the senior scouts

Just for the record, I don't reply to Mercer and I don't read them either. I sometimes reply to the others but I will try to limit the responses if I can

How can we know whether a manager signs off on every signing or not?

We don’t unless your in the room

but the argument works both ways posters can’t say ‘that’s not a ismael signing’ based on negative assumption and poster can’t say that’s a manager signing based on blind positivity

we don’t know
